We recently got two of the Milwaukee 18v Flood lights and I have to say I’m very impressed. They are dimmer than a 500W halogen light but they are still super bright. The portability is nice too.

I’ve used my track saw since I’ve got it. Works fantastic for a perfect, splinter free cut. To cut the splash on post form I clamp the track to the back of the splash and cut from the back side. Takes some really careful work and measuring but it works quite well for me.

Looks sweet Andrew! I’m curious, what parts of this project did you and your partner do vs what stuff do you sub?

They probably have the Apple Care for the device. Break it, put up a video on youtube, get enough views/subscriptions that they actually make money by doing it. Just a theory anyways…

Well, I finally got the doors finished and installed. I’ll have more pictures later once the job is finished. They keep adding to the list but we’re also on another job so it may be a couple weeks.
Everything turned out pretty nice IMO. It was a great project for the Domino and I’m glad we got it because I’ve used it for probably 10 other things…[Read more]

Travis replied to the topic How do you clean your blades in the forum Woodworking/Carpentry 6 years, 4 months ago
Exactly what Andrew said. It has to do with value. I’m wasting money to clean a $7 circular saw blade or to have it sharpened. To much time involved. However a $70 track saw blade or $100+ miter saw blade is most definitely worth my time to clean. As the pitch and whatever else builds up on them it creates friction and dulls them more quickly.…[Read more]

Well, it was a basement finish/remodel so at least that’s not the only aspect of the job we’re working on. It was an add on anyway as well as some other things that have kind of drug the project out some which is ok. We’re slammed on other stuff. They want us to do more work but our other client wants us to stop doing extra stuff for them and get…[Read more]

Still haven’t completed the project. Client bought the door hardware and the first set the finish just came off on your hands. Picture black cast iron look all over your hands. Anyway… so then they got new ones sent out but they only sent 2 hinges, not 4… so as of now we’re supposed to be back over there Thursday or Friday to hopefully wrap up…[Read more]

I use CMT and it works great. Amazon carries it too.
If you put your table saw and miter saw blades in a joint compound bucket lid, spray one side, flip and spray the other. Let it sit for 10 minutes or so, and scrub the junk off with a bristled brush it works fantastic. You can also filter it back into the bottle and it should last you a long…[Read more]

It looks like a canal if you look at it close. You can see in front of the boat what look like pilings or posts of some sort and it looks like it could be water instead of a road there.

If you’re hiring someone with no experience, than that’s what they are, someone with no experience. They’re gonna do a lot of tool fetching, clean up, and any job that your boss doesn’t really want to do. It’s just how it goes. From there, your boss will be able to tell if he’s someone who’s got potential and is worth is time to train on more…[Read more]

Today was full size. I was breaking (3) 4×8 sheets. (1) 3/4 MDF and (2) 1/4 Hardboard. Plus we had room for it full on this job. Although last time I took it to this job it was the 4×4 version. We were installing cabinets and I wanted the work surface and space but knew with cabinets going in it might get crowded.
I think I mentioned it but I…[Read more]

Lol. I’ve noticed. 😉
It’s a very aggressive blade too, just fyi. I was ripping 2x with it on a job sistering joists to level/strengthen a floor. I was standing in the crawlspace with the saw at chest high on a board that was laying on the first floor joists. Started it full speed, slowly went down, and as soon as it hit it jumped off the track…[Read more]
