I swear by the Diablo Demo Demon saw blades. You can usually find a two pack at HD for around $20. You just have to look for them on an end cap. Ive never seen these packages in the saw blade section, only singles for close to the same price.

Today was a work from home day to help out with the kids. Still managed to sneak some work in and got this shoe nook mostly finished. Hopefully when the little one goes to bed I can finish up the last riser and baseboard

Generally I’ve found these Milwaukee lines to be a great value.
They perform well, leave a fairly crisp line. Large enough to see even as the chalk is running out, but thin enough to be accurate.
Also for the price I don’t feel bad when I…[Read more]

They prolonged the state of emergency, and confirmed schools will continue to remain closed, however were still waiting on some real guidance and direction. I really feel like it should be all or nothing, as it stands the grey area is far too large.

It’s been a struggle getting materials, but I managed to get a window job finished up. It’s. No fun cutting frozen vinyl siding on the side of a house, but luckily it all worked out without any cracking. Even found time for a quick dump run. The only positive side effect of everything being shut down is only contractors have access to the dumps at…[Read more]

Woke up to everything covered in snow and ice! Thankfully it’s mostly melted away again, but it’s still cooler then I’d like outside.

Went to look at a burned down garage and collateral damage to the house on the property, spending most of the afternoon getting a material list and quote made up for that and a bathroom renovation. Hopefully I’ll be able to do the jobs without being shut down completely.

Woke up with a little snow on the ground but thankfully that’s gone. Still cool out, right around freezing but sunny.

A project like that I believe should definitely be moving forward, however with some serious changes.
Perhaps only having one crew from one company on a certain part of the site at one time, while keeping different crews from crossing paths (if/when/ and where possible)
As much as I’d honestly rather be home with my family, I’m grateful that I…[Read more]

I’m finally seeing an effect on construction here in town.
Now that all essential services only offer online orders and curbside pickup, I’m basically at a standstill. I tried sourcing as much supplies and materials as I could before hand, but your always missing something.
I’m now having to wait for 1xx odd orders ahead. Of me to be processed…[Read more]

Like others have said this is something that’s quite particular to thee user, vehicle and their specific needs.
Unless you are HEAVILY invested in one specific storage platform I would recommend building your own custom solution.
With my trailer I just started by lining the walls with new 5/8 plywood and just let my imagination take it from there.

Have you considered spraying everything with a high-density closed cell spray foam? It would be. Waterproof, would not have to worry about sagging, and would have no issues with movement at either end where it meets a building.

Taking some time this weekend to organize the trailer again. Fortunately I laid the boys off a week or so before things started getting serious around here so it will be easier to keep tidy and organized working solo.
Going to be interesting trying to fit the mitre saw and table saw back in there, along with all the other tools in my truck right now.
