We call them deacon benches. Piano hinges on mdf.
Great storage for sure!
Agreed….cases take up so much room it is crazy. Those cases are tough I will give them that. I have a stack of cases I keep only for the purpose of future possible resale. I keep expensive cadex and omar guns and drills in a dewalt bag that comes in at night with the old lunch box. That would be 2-3 trips in cases.
Im trying to picture what exact one we are talking about.
Do you have a pic?
fits perfect and always with me
That’s interesting. I call that a coffered ceiling Jeff. Or boxed beam.
Ya that’s the names I recognize.
Looks awsome when finished.
Im not a fan of the sore neck at the end.
Im curious how you guys price these out? By the layer/ft? Height?
Tricky because so time consuming.
Pocket screws? Wow, your not messing around. That thing is earthquake proof.
Sorry…I meant collins coping foot on jigsaw…
I am a finisher…tried everything pretty much.
In my opinion coping mdf is a crazy time waster. I cut all insides at 44 degrees (the mud and tape make it never 90) and outsides at 46. Spackle if needed is fast/perfect fine tune.
Real wood is another story if its stain grade…when I was trained I wasnt allowed to ever use fill..stain highlights…[Read more]
Put that on the list with all the shop wish list items….right beside CNC machine.
I always keep a few mag extenders in the toolbox (in case they break) and love them.
They are priceless when you have one hand on the material and one on the drill.
I never really given them any thought… they are so cheap. I guess it would add up….
(Ive never seen a hilti….that sounds good)
Now that is one I haven’t seen before.
Its like a high tech version of a cam lock from ikea.
It is worked and didn’t cost a ton… that is cool concept.
Make sure to remember….its upside down and backwards!
Cant really tell from the pic…are the shelves adjustable?
If the bottom side of the hole really matters (like on a door or something) I find the best way is to punch a tiny pilot hole thru and drill from both sides.
Ya sacrificial piece behind it helps huge as a faster, but not quite as good quality, way to go.
Nothing worse than forgetting and spending time fixing a blow out on something that will be…[Read more]
Looks like construction stocking stuffers at Xmas.
You must have been good this year.
I’ve always been a money only guy. A painting is pretty hard to beat.
I did score a trade for a Green Lee tool box a couple years ago… great deal on that one.
…stat holidays and overtime are a fading memory of the good old days.
…I call my lawn chair I take from site to site my office without thinking about it.
Ya that must really tick off rich dudes.. the gap between trades and white collar jobs is shrinking.
My favorite is all the DIY products these days. They are still out of reach of most people and even the weekend warrior (no offense weekend warriors) get killed on the time it takes them. Then we come in and clean up on it. I love it.
Tricky part is having a wall clear to load material (4×8 sheets etc.) and yet still maxing out tool storage.
What do you guys do for security for your trailers? Always an issue when all your eggs are in one basket?
You need to see the Canadian Tire money…. the place has its own currency. It is more colorful than our Canadian bills. They give it out with purchases… I have a wad in my truck….annoying.
The store is elite and huge. Not my choice for tools…but have bought them there.
