After doing more research I’m quite certain that it was improperly finished. There doesn’t seem to be an easy way to fix while maintaining the stamped concrete pattern. I may need to have it redone if I want it to look good.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. -

In case the point is not yet clear, get the FL12 light 😉
I agree with whoever said it’s the best all-round tool system light. There’s lots of reviews on the here on the site that cover all it’s features. -

Thanks for clarifying the UL approval for Canada, @Doobie. I’ve only been using them for speakers, so not a problem.

After the first install failed in a year, someone from LaFarge has on site for the 2nd time, and tested the mix. It was fine. I think they did a poor job of finishing it.
The other driveways nearby were done by other companies. I’ll check with a couple of them.
Good luck with it would be a nice reversal of fortune 🙂 -

No warranty at this point. This is already the 2nd go so I don’t trust the company’s workmanship anyway. About 8 years old, really deteriorating the last two years despite the fact I haven’t had a vehicle during that time. Worst near the street where these photos were taken. Other driveways around the neighborhood have held up fine – I really drew…[Read more]

Hi,
Replaced an asphalt driveway with stamped concrete a while ago. I’ll skip the drama getting to this point – it’s a year overdue to be resealed but the surface has started to deteriorate. Any suggestions for repairs before I apply the sealer?
Thanks. -

It’s nice having separate units to drill and drive, but I do like the Flexiclick for my everyday tool kit that I carry around a lot – more function with less weight and space. The 12v line is really great for that kind of use. My 18v tools only get used when it’s an extended project or extra power is essential.

Take care Boschmanbrian, that sounds like a stressful situation.
As an aside, can anyone tell me how to start a new topic? Haven’t done it in a while, and for the life of me can’t see how to do so.

For crosscutting/sheet goods, or ripping hardwood?
Takes a 165MM (6-1/2″) blade with a 20mm (13/16″) arbor. Makita, Freud, Tenyru, Festool, and Oshlun are some of the companies making blades for that arbor, though some are only 60mm in diameter.
I’ve only used the stock blade so far, but have seen the Tenyru 28 tooth and the Freud LU87R006M20…[Read more] -

Doobie wrote:I looked this up quickly today, and it seems they are not CSA (ULc) approved in Canada. Just so members know, but they should do their own more thorough research than my quickie search on them as I was most interested myself.
Miamicuse notes they are UL (USA) listed, and unless I’m misremembering that’s accepted in Canada.

This is how they are promoting social distancing in the Yukon:
So what should it be for construction? 1 shovel? 4 reciprocating saws? 🙂

Good stuff, @boschmanbrian! It’s great to see companies that are stepping up, recognizing that this is a stupendously demanding situation which requires us all to work together.

And another showing control measures. Show it to anyone who isn’t following the advice being given by health officials.

Hey Boschmanbrian, I appreciate the feedback. Sounds like the guy you encountered is the sort of person who inspired me to try producing a simple (as possible) explanation of how we can stop this thing. All the information is out there but I still haven’t found a concise version that shows how the things we are being asked or told to do work…[Read more]
