Anyone have any experience making storage racks for metal out of black pipe. And not that typical home depot garbage, i have some scrap sprinkler pipe and want to make some nice racks to store all me metal scraps. Deciding either standing up or laying flat making shelves.

If you don’t have a grinder you could try a cold chisel. Or just smash the hell out of the whole thing until it breaks, you know if you’re not worried about destroying the concrete.

I will say for the veto they are built like tanks really well made, probably why they are so heavy. i have the open top LC size and have probably had it for 8 years or so and shows almost no wear. I do like them and will eventually buy a Closed top XL to store my tools and the load the open top to carry into the job.

Michael replied to the topic How do you flash wood joists against concrete? in the forum Ask a Pro 3 years, 8 months ago
ChadM wrote:Here is a quick sketch…The pink line is Ice & Water against the wood, the yellow line is galvanized flashing, and the green is a galvanized z flashing that the OSB would sit on. I would extend the ice & water about 10″ up the wall (above the concrete), and extend the galvanized flashing 6″ up the wall.
Definitely the way to go

I just recently finish a porch ceiling with T&G cedar. I used a good construction adhesive and stainless 15ga nails into the tongue worked great. As others said you have to be real careful with where you place the nails.

I use the Bostich 15Ga for larger trims and most recently on a porch roof with tongue and groove cedar. The larger nails hold better and got them in stainless.

The drywall gun has been great so far run time is great, @overanalyze mostly spraying BM super hide. Got the larger sprayer for the hose length it supports and it can support a .025 tip for heavier paints. We are painting a warehouse right now so moving the sprayer every 50 feet would be a huge pain.

Michael replied to the topic What are your favorite hand tool brands? in the forum Brand and Manufacturer Discussion 4 years, 11 months ago
I have different favorites for different tools. Like the reliability of easting hammers, channel lock wrenches, klien electric tools. Its hard to stick with one brand when every company specializes in one thing and then changes the design to make them cheaper to produce.
