Jeff replied to the topic FRAMING NAILERSM/Coil or stick? in the forum Pneumatic Nailers 1 year, 10 months ago
ive pretty much always used a stick nailer, my old company had a coil framer that we we sometimes used for sheathing however it was problematic for the depth the nails would be set.. often sinking them too far and the gun didnt have a built in depth adjust… dialing down the compressor would compromise stick nailers that were also plugged in

Jeff replied to the topic Bosch PROMOTIONAL bits are lower quality or not? in the forum Power Tools, Pneumatic Tools, Hand Tools and All Things Tools 1 year, 11 months ago
no matter what brand or quality of bit you use.. if your using a impact driver for drilling holes the hex shank on the bit is going to get mangled… the anvil action does it to the bit.. use a drill driver to drill holes and you wont have the issue

not sure if the laser works in water, something tells me no because the beam will get broken up.
i know 2 years ago i set up my new laser level outside when there was heavy mist, the beam turned into a fan like effect from the droplets in the air

honestly im not too sure be the pro is too high on the priority list for the higher ups at bosch, their resources are probably being spent elswhere such as events and even over at instagram. dont quote me on this however
myself and a handful of other long term members date back to the very early days, such as redwood, dan pattison. im not…[Read more]

the acceloromater on teh grinder is a cool feature.. however the saftey on the paddle style triggers on grinders no matter what the make i find is very susceptible to damage.. we have a hilti at work which has that type of trigger.. the saftery is broken which allows the trigger to simply be engaged you dont need both..
though im not really a fan…[Read more]

the bosch is very nice i have one myself.. i would say its better for everyday where or someone in office who treks out to the jobsite as opposed to a worker
the milwaukee jackets are pretty much the staple for heated work wear, plus they have multiple items.. jackets, sweaters, vests, etc
dewalt has theirs.. they look like cheap work…[Read more]

Jeff replied to the topic Things Bosch Should Make in the forum Talk to our Sponsors 2 years, 2 months ago
i have a feeling they do sell them individually.. its just a matter of finding a retailer that stocks them. that can be tricky… milwaukee owns a ton os shelf space at home depot and even pro tool shops.. same goes for dewalt

top notch gave the best advice.. i recently had someone looking for some exterior finish work to be done which included 2 entry doors to be replaced… i simplyo told them my scheudle is just far to busy at the moment to take it on, for this reason i would not be able to complete it in a timely manner

Jeff replied to the topic Lowes Closing 51 Stores in the forum Business Discussion 2 years, 2 months ago
i have zero input regarding lowes… they dont physically exist here in nova scotia yet though they do own rona..
one thing i will say about rona however is im dissappointed with them now, they bought out my local lumber yard in 2006 which wasnt a very big deal, it was mainly just a name change, all the same staff stayed on. rona was where…[Read more]

that saw looks much more streamlined in shape compared to the cs18v, im very curious as to what sort of timeline bosch has regarding its release date in north america.
reason for saying this is how i havent seen the track saw listed anywhere yet in any stores yet it was expected to be released back in september

bosch doesnt seem to be big into marketing their tools. i do remember years ago seeing the odd print ad in magazines.. as for tool reps the local guy is a ghost. yet you walk into home depot and the milwaukee reps are in one specific location daily and then weekly in teh other not to mention in teh pro tool houses every few days. dewalt use to…[Read more]
