Since you have a brand new 4100 I would recommend doing some of the dust control stuff I’ve mentioned in my topic. The 4100 doesn’t have the plate your GTS1031 had on the right side of the sawblade housing so you tend to get a lot of under table dust and a lot of dust coming out from the fro…

    K-Drill Electric Ice Auger System

I have been looking for a new auger and I came across this and think I may try to buy one. The drill thing is appealing to me and it would be one less gas motor that I would have to maintain.

They recommend the Milwaukee drills…[Read more]

So I have pretty much everything set up in the new shop now. There are still lots of things that I want to tweak and add or make but it is fully functional now and I can get going on some projects. At some point I’ll be building open shelves i…

I’m not 100% decided, but I think I’m going to start out with outdoor furniture and if that works out, move to indoor furniture. Maybe bird houses, if John promises not to sue me.

There is a store near me that sells lot’s of un…

  • Great thread. I am constantly sorting through bits or spending way to much time trying to find the one I need that has disapeared. I have resorted to putting them in my l boxx with my drill and they just bounce around and are a mess. I need to find a better way, just not sure it is out there yet.

  • Amazing young women. As a interesting side fact surfing in Milwaukee is getting bigger. Except for the fact that the people are nuts as you can only surf Lake Michigan in the winter.

Interesting article Kurt. I found reading the comments quite enjoyable also..Some people are clueless.

I find it absolutely nuts that people would allow their real estate agent to pick the home inspector. When I bought my house the agent selling the house would not even recommend a home inspector. I did my own research and found one that I liked.…[Read more]

  • Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! I am late but still wanted to get it in. Hope everyone got all the sweet tools they could ask for.

  • Is it correct to say that DeWalt was the first to introduce a job site radio?

I like the new Dewalt but I will just have to keep waiting for Bosch to follow suit. I have no DeWalt tools.
I still have my original Milwaukee radio, that is working fine for me. I am still greatly tempted by the Bosch PB though.

  • I may be proven wrong here but I have had a really hard time finding the molded plastic inserts for specific tools in L-boxxes. The hardware store that carries l-boxxes here does not carry them and I would love to see them sold in stores or through the bosch website

I have the larger of the hatches and I love it. I use it for camping and splitting wood in the backyard for the at home fire pit. Great for medium and small size pieces of wood. Make sure to keep it sharp!
