  • Dirty, I just was reading about how Hawaii was getting some crazy weather.

Snowing here in Wisconsin again. Weathermen here are very accurate, anywhere between 4 to 12 inches in the next 12 hours.

I recently moved out of Milwaukee and to the suburbs. I have a 3 year old and 1 year old and switched jobs just last week. Work and the kids take up most of my time but I am working on some small projects at the new home. Mostly working on setting up the new basement shop space that I have.

We recently bought a piece of rough cut wood to have a…[Read more]

Hello everyone! I wanted to re-introduce myself as I hope to make a come back to the Be The Pro world!
Since I was last here I spent two years working in sales for a paint contractor. (residential/commercial) I recently have moved over to a millwork company and am now selling/project managing doors, trim, widows and cabinets.

    I am looking…[Read more]

Branding iron would be a really nice touch. As always Mark I am impressed with your work. The chair is looking great and wherever it ends up will be a nice addition.

  • My wife and I never really do anything for each other on Valentines day but this year we are buying each other tickets to the Dead and Company concert in our area this summer. I am really excited. The original members of the Grateful Dead with Jon Mayer filling in for Jerry Garcia.

  • I had a rachet strap let loose while towing my boat this summer. I caught it pretty quick but the hook had already got ripped off dragging across the pavement at 65 miles and hour and the excess strap was trying to make its way to the axle to wrap around but I pulled over quick enough to avoid it. Luckily it got caught on the roller on the trailer…[Read more]

I hate to see people get taken advantage of by low bidders. Would have been nice to try to get her to see the benefits in properly fixing the roof. Would hate to see a new bathroom remodel get wrecked by more leaking.

I have to go with the Broncos. Carolina is a great team with a good defense and offense. My best guess is a tight win by the Broncos or else it is going to be another Carolina blowout.

I work with live electricity way to often. A lot of my electrical work is post lights and outside lights. Most of our homeowners are gone to work and the timing to shut off breakers does not always work so I end up working with live wires. I hate it and have been working with my boss to figure out a better way to do it. The last thing he needs is…[Read more]

This was a hot topic around the Milwaukee area back in 1999 when they were building the MLB stadium, Miller Park for the Brewers. Three construction workers died. Horrible tragedy.

My to do list just got extremely long 🙁 With a 15 month old in a 2 bedroom house we are quickly running out of room and my wife is getting antsy to start house shopping. We had the relator over this morning that sold us the house and she went through and told us what we should fix, repair and update in order to get what we want for the house.…[Read more]

    Tara,
This came out great. I know it was a pain but I think this was a creative way to have a shed without taking up room in the yard. Your work is great and I am glad this worked out for you.

We went to lake Erie the first time and had no ice shanty. We carried our gear in a 5 gal bucket. It was really cold and the wind was blowing hard. We had walked a couple miles and not caught anything. Got up to try another spot and as soon as we stood up our buckets took off in the wind. We never saw them…

  • Great work Dan! Such an amazing progression. I will be making a donation soon as I need to get in on this great story besides just reading about it. Love the updates and pictures of the newest happenings. How far do you think this shop can go? Can/will it ever reach a point where things that are made could be donated to other groups/places that…[Read more]
