I use Plano tackle boxes. I think they’re the 3700 ones. Throw a little desiccant kitty litter in with it and you shouldn’t have any rust. They’re clear so you can see what’s in them, but I label the ends of mine with the contents. You can buy them usually for about $4 each.

Well look at it this way. You’re done with two of the three stressful situations you’ll face this go round. I find they always come in 3’s for me!
Hope tomorrow is better Robert…

I have a drill doctor. Tried it a couple times, but it only does the 118° bits. I normally buy 135°, so it just sits there almost new. I find it easier just to stock up on bit sets @ Christmastime.

HDPro replied to the topic Caulk Tips in the forum Talk Around the Job Site 6 years, 9 months ago
I find it depends on the product. Caulk and silicones I find are usually shorter nozzles. Adhesives tend to have the longer ones. Theres always the exception to the rule too. Not sure why, but yes, it can be frustrating….

Why not? Just approach the house from one direction or the other depending on the company called!

I understand your points and agree. It’s the same reason we trained in EMS rigorously when I worked that for over 15 years.
But until SamM responds, you’re answers are only surmising. It may be for a very different reason. That’s why I asked him directly, but so far, no response.

If it’s that bad….who would want to buy or move into the house when it’s finished?!?

Sorry. I couldn’t help myself!

You’re right that those boxes exist. I was just thinking of a system as a whole and unfortunately, those don’t integrate with the t-staks, so I didn’t list them because I just felt they were a 1 purpose item. Sorry. My bad!:-)))

That’s great. I know some others have gotten some exchanged too, but there’s no acknowledgment from Makita on the issue. The exchanges seem hit or miss.

And some people will choose to try you out on a smaller project initially. Letting them know you offer full service at that point has a value too.

Why not start the new company and leave the handyman company intact? Answer the calls that come in with each one and just do the work under the Danehurst company. You can easily explain the reason after you get there.
People poo poo the handyman idea (legitimately) for the reasons listed above and more. But you will get jobs from the handyman…[Read more]

HDPro replied to the topic I swear I wasn't too hard on him… in the forum Talk Around the Job Site 6 years, 9 months ago
This is the problem. Our society breeds and rewards laziness.
It’s why I work for and by myself. It’s not too difficult to be a shining star in the workforce anymore. All you have to do is show up. You don’t even have to be on time or be good at the job. It’s a really sad commentary on where we are at as a nation.
I watch alot of the illegals…[Read more]

I think that IS one of the more frustrating things anymore. It’s not like it used to be where there was one clear winner in a tool category. There’s a lot of cr@p out there. There’s also a fair amount of decent selections too…
Someday I want to climb into the festool lineup too. I think they make some very nice tools. I’m just not able to…[Read more]
