Got all but two items requested today.
Just curious… I haven’t gotten any emails from Bosch. Should I be concerned that my request is missing? Have others received their redemption without any notice directly from Bosch?
I received an email saying something was discontinued , but the rest of the items should be fine , but this was only for one of…
Had a phone call this morning to book a timeframe for a CCT (Canada Cartage) to deliver the majority of my last redemption for tomorrow afternoon between 12-4PM. It’s a biggee!
Got some more work done of Shed Build II. Working finally on the most challenging side which is the most visible. Meds for muscle relaxants and painkillers are done now, so Mr Dopey Doobie is now a bit more clear headed.
Set up the end trim pieces, laid a starter row of 5/16ths thick PVC and then started to install the Hardie Plank siding. Got…[Read more]

Those were the days eh! I got a few of those early on, but then they stopped. I was very appreciative of those…[Read more]
I’ve been largely away for doing hard work for a variety of reasons the last couple of weeks. Put it this way, all I can do right now are lite duties which hopefully I’m near the end of that medical directive.
But tonite, in a dopey state on meds still, I did manage to make a soffit piece that has vent holes in it for my Shed Build II project.

Sorry to hear that Brian. 😞
I got an email that all but two discontinued items have been ordered. I’m now sending in a substitutions request. Let’s see what happens.
I got an Email that one of my items was not available and asking if they could substitute a newer model, I said I did not see why not.
That’s nice of them , congratulations Kurt
Again, they are being on top of it and reasonable in dealing with the ‘Hits & Misses’ so to speak with closing the b…[Read more]
Got my table saw and jigsaw yesterday. They also responded to my request about substituting something for the hole saws that were not available. Looks like an almost identical set of hold saws.
Wow congratulations , that is great to hear that they’re willing to replace the holesaw kit
I’m glad to hear t…[Read more]

You could also maybe use a concrete surface grinder, but it would show some swirl marks.
They are rentable at rent-all places typically.
A traditional sander has the risk of having its motor works being choked to death with silica from sanding the drywall residue and concrete. Higher end sanders are…[Read more]

Right on! That works out nice.
Even with a harness, be aware that you should not be alone. People have died dangling from the edge of a roof with being unable to deharness and have their blood cut off hanging there.
I think unless you can or need to build something custom, or very special of fine woodworking, it is a waste of time unless you have tons of time on your hands.
Bit of an old thread being resurrected here. But that’s OK!
Hangman wrote:You guys all speculate far too much about the final redemption process.
I agree, at least for now. Give them a chance to get it all straightened out. I’m sure it is a bit of a daunting task to deal with a sudden mass of redemption requests.
Hey guys, (and gals reading also of course), this was a thread that I started years ago that a former mod kiboshed seeing it as a points grab which you can see i disagreed with myself as i was posting multi ‘signs’ per posts in the spirit of trying to make it a legit fun thread.
Now that there are no points involved on this forum, I just went and…[Read more]

if I use rebars then I have to bent a U at the end to avoid the ropes from sliding off.
You can also use those cork screw things that are meant to screw into the ground for hooking dog leashes to
That’s what I used in lieu of bent rebar to tie down more securely my 10X20 backyard canopy. So far, none have…[Read more]

Warren, you seem to have bad luck with your redemptions. Did they offer an alternative?
