I looked into this years ago myself. It can be done but it’s not cheap. First you want to make sure that the substructure is solid meaning that you don’t have huge spans where there’s just naturally a bounce anyways in it. Then you can use 3/4 ply exterior rated and you need to wrap it up with the Schluter remembering taping it all around the…[Read more]

New neighbors next door just went and abated the stucco ceilings in their living roor/dining room and two bedrooms in the circa 1970 before moving in. Cost over $15,000. Never knew that asbestos was used in stucco til now.
I have an old linoleum tile floor in a bathroom I plan to reno. Sent away a sample a few weeks ago and still waiting for…[Read more]

Not signaling yourself Jim, this goes out to all, but that comment stings me a bit.
It would really be an even better thread if folks actually posted pics of what they are doing or they’ve done! I’ve seen squat lately and that has been for months now frankly.
I know I took those few…[Read more]

I just don’t find this exceptional in any manner other than he has an OK methodology to line up his drawer faces and he squares for its structure.
Sorry, I did this kind of thing better as an attendant semi-novice woodworker decades ago and better as well.

The photo they take is for the most part quite meaningless imo.
It can serve an issue such as @sprokitz just experienced with getting a bunch of planks versus a much huger Bosch Axial saw box.
But the delivery guy can easily just grab the package himself after taking the photo as has happened, and the photo itself is no guarantee of delivery in…[Read more]

Hey, what about posting ‘false BF/CM deals’?
Deals that are spot-lighted as BF/CM deals but are just everyday deals. Those types of ‘deals’ that are ‘horse pe-tew-ies’ in my mind and are misleading potentially to others, especially the hundreds/thousands I see as an admin that lurk this forum every day.

More progress on Shed Build II.
Had to devise some temp scaffolding to put in place the wall sheating on the areas that have the slant walls on the fence side that faces the greenbelt behind me. There was no other realistic way to do this.
