I picked up a couple 3.0 amp Batteries to use in my M18 Framing Nailer to keep the weight down. They are significantly bigger than my 2.0’s.

Yesterday we had a heat index over 100 temp was 94, the only thing that helped was the breeze and a cloud here and there. Today we had rain this morning but temps will reach 95 again.

Got a couple days off from working on the garage before they poured concrete and helped another contractor install the beams and weathered look ceiling. The beams are just 2 by material and will get sanded and painted gray.

Wow, did they really thing you could use LVLs and that would make up for not having a ledger? Some contractors are practically robbing people blind because they don’t know what they are doing…

I was finally able to get my Concrete guy to my house yesterday to get a quote on pouring the thickened edge slab for my garage. Final square footage on the garage will be 868, the same size as the house. Now I am just waiting on the permit to get started finally.

I was pretty excited when this box shewed up on my door step yesterday! I’ll post more pictures later today after I pick up some nails and start using it. The box was a little beat up but the nailer was packaged well and didn’t have any damage.

High of 77 today with rain this morning. I wish it would be dry in the morning when it’s cool and rain in the afternoon when it’s hot so I don’t sweat as much when I’m working outside…

@GTokley the floors look like they have similar wear to our hardwood floors which have not been refinished. One thing to make sure of is that the flooring is 3/4 inch thick, my parents had 1/4 inch oak flooring in their upstairs and had to be very carefull when sanding them not to be too aggressive.
If you are going to attempt to sand them…[Read more] -

My tool of the day was my M18 Fuel router. I used it to cut the holes for a raised dog bowl holder.

@Miamcuse Milwaukee still does it, when they have competitor trade in offers at their contractor supply stores they include old Milwaukee battery platforms.
Saw this online, a cordless 12” Glide Mitersaw.

My tool of the day today would be my M18 fuel blower locked on slow mode and a cheap box fan circulating air in my 100 degree shop.

Nice! Last time I went to order new dust mask filters from Lee valley they were out (not surprised) I’ll have to check again. Let me know what you think of the names chisels, I’ve been wanting the full set for a while.
