I wish I had some of my guns as Hitachis. They make great nailers but they always seem priced so much higher than other brands.
around here we seem to get the best pricing on Hitachi or Bostich. some of the other guns I have I got with promotions. the Makita came with a free worm drive saw and a tool belt and a lot of the Paslode I got free when I bought a pallet of nails.

Look at Big Sky Tool online. If you are ok with reconditioned tools, which I am, you can get them pretty cheap. All my smaller Hitachi guns are reconditioned and I paid less than $40 for each of them.
I went and looked up what they had and there was only one Hitachi nailer available. I also couldn’t find whether they ship to Canada either.
Oh crap! Sorry Kevin, I didn’t notice you were in Canada. My bad.

I can’t speak high enough about my Hitachi. The company is good too. One time they sent me a new mag for my 18ga. for free because there was a problem with the one I had.

Ive just defaulted to senco as ive had great luck with them. I am about due to get a new framer so I might have to try the hitachi since most of you do love them

I think if I have to add or replace one of my existing guns I’m gonna seriously look at paying for an Hitachi. If the only real complaint you hear about a brand line is the price, that says something about what you are paying for most times.
December 10, 2015 at 9:40 pm #439344I love my Grex 23 gauge pinner. From there I have Senco, Bosch, and Milwaukee guns. I use the 18 gauge Senco along with the Grex almost all of the time. Very happy with both.
December 11, 2015 at 12:41 am #439392I bought a 18ga. Grex to replace my Hitachi 18ga. because it would leave some pins high. The new Grex left more pins high so I returned it.

@sorpa
The 23ga Bosch is great. While the others have intermittent issues, the 23 seems to be universally liked. I’ve fired more than 5k pins through mine and I don’t recall a single jam.The only negative is that I wish you could get 2 straps of pins in it. It will fit about 1 1/2 without issue…but I’m not in the habit of breaking the straps apart. Not much of a negative, but it does result in more frequent reloading.
