We had good success with similar threads.

Lets see your trusty nailers. Curious to see if everyone sticks with brands or has a mix like i do. Here are mine some over 30 years old some new and unused. In truth they have ALL been of good use, have worked mostly without issue and worth the purchase

No pics, just too tired frankly and they are not all in the same place.

First one ever, cheapo little brad nailer I got in a kit at Costco.

Bostich – Framing nailer; Crown staple nailer; another small brad nailer.

Senco – Roofing nailer – Positive placement metal hanger nailer.

Grex – 23 gauge pin nailer.

    Paslode – Trim nailer.

I think that’s it. Just realized I have just as many nailers as routers more or less. Doh! How does that happen!!!

Nobody likes it. One of my employees bought that Hitachi at the same time I bought the Max. The Hitachi wins that matchup.

Any one have the Hitachi 16 gauge finish nail gun?
I tried the 15 gauge angle Hitachi and it worked fine as it was brand new . It just felt awkward to me and the nails left big holes to fill.
    Also looking at the Bostich.

ive owned porter cable 18 and 16 gauge.. both toys really.. made nasty nail holes… the rigid 23 gauge was great

currently own.. ridgid framing gun- nothing special but its not a hitachi

    16 gauge- hitach- awesome gun
2 paslode 18 gauge, awesome guns make a very small nail hole. ones older and near toast though

bosch 18 gauge.. ok gun, its finicky and leaves large nail holes. doesnt always sink

2 bosch 23 gauge nails, good guns but the magazines are made to such tight tolerances that nails dont always advance

heres a tip, dont fart in a space suit

The Hitachi is a great gun. It does leave big holes if you don’t have it set just right.

I had the Bostitch (DA not FN) before the Hitachi. It does leave a smaller hole for the most part but is very picky with generic nails. It hates Grip Rite but will do fine all day long with Senco, Hitachi, etc nails. Grip Rite is what is available at my yard at a moments notice so I could always use another gun right!? It also has a lot of gadgets on it. But if it doesn’t work the way I need it to, the gadgets are useless.

One of the issues of my Max gun is that it is soooo picky about nails. Only the real Senco seem to work well in it.

Thanks. Glad I didn’t get it then. It really makes me mad when I buy something and it doesn’t work like it should or you have to baby it. That Bostitch is always on the trailer but it is hung up for the most part.
