@theamcguy thanks! I am sure it comes as no surprise that I am interested in all things Sortimo 🙂 Even though I have gotten settled in to my new abode (6 months here now), my shop is still not quite ideal in how it is set up…. it is roughly 10×14 and jammed full of stuff, so I am thinking that either the WorkMo solution or making some cabinets out of 80/20 to put my l-boxxes on drawers would be nice… they are all just stacked on l-dollies currently, which is fine, but a hassle to actually get to.

ProOh, and back to my original question that got hidden on the previous page – has anyone here actually purchased any of these Workmos yet? I see that they are readily available at http://www.sortimo-shop.us

hey @supimeister
glad that see some members are coming back 😀
not an exact answer to your question but I haven’t seen anyone posted something of the Workmos at all. So I doubt anyone purchase it.
I am looking myself at building a cabinet/workbench with drawers for lboxx’s.
As you said it’s a hassle to unstack all lboxx’s when they are stacked up on teh L-Dolly. in most cases the tool you need is at the bottom of it haha.
hope to see more posts of yours…."If you're going to do something, do it right the first time"

Would like to see the new shop.
And to answer your question, no I haven’t purchased anything from that site. Have you, looks like some nice boxes and accessories they certainly have,February 23, 2017 at 10:20 pm #612014supimeister

No l-boxx minis yet… I have gone with L-racks and Schuller bins for all my screw storage and it has been great.
At this point, I am 90% sure I will do something with 80/20 – because I can make qty 4 of 18” wide x 14” deep x 36” tall 80/20 cabinets with drawer slides that will forever be adjustable and reconfigurable and broken down in the event of a move for ~$200 in 80/20 parts
Even though I like the idea of the Workmo cabinets for quite the comprehensive Sortimo setup, most of the models do not have drawer glides for the l-boxxes… they generally only have shelves.

Nice to see ypu back on the forum John. To answer ypur question, no, I myself don’t recall anybody buying into the specialized Sortimo stuff since you were last active.

Thanks Doobie! I just wish there were some people who have actually put them to use to comment on their durability and overall value given just how much $$$ they are.

Actually I just bought this one:
https://www.sortimo-shop.us/product-p/1000004461.htm
It works great for me so far. Perfect for stoarge in my workshop and I can move it around easily. I think I’m going to get the workbench table too. Also I can use all the boxxes I already had.
They also offer a version without boxxes which is a little bit cheaper and you can use the boxxes you already have.

Post some pictures and your impressions on that sortimo workmo @BrianT"If you're going to do something, do it right the first time"

Wonder if they sell just the cabinet without the boxes?

https://www.sortimo-shop.us/product-p/1000004443.htmOhhhh @briant I would love to hear more… The price is just so hard to justify… especially since the l-boxxes look to only be on shelves without drawer glides… is that right?
The second link, however, does have drawer glides…
I wish I could just buy the drawer glides sortimo offers, similar to what festool offers for their sys ports:
http://www.festoolproducts.com/festool-491923-sysport-telescoping-drawer.htmlHonestly, these sortimo workmo 24-750 cabinets are just hard to justify on any level compared to the sys ports (cost-wise)… it does make me wish I had gone full on systainers and gotten sysports instead… but I am way too committed to l-boxxes at this point…
Thus, the reason I am choosing to build my own l-boxx sysport cabinets out of 80/20

Not much of a price break for just the cabinet with out the boxes. Man that is expensive but nice.

You can get a lot of 80/20 for the price of these cabinets 😉 In fact, I was able to get extrusion for four 36x18x14.5 deep cabinets that will be perfect for me for little sysports… and then I can put some l-racks on top of them and have a lovely wall of drawer-accessible sortimo stuff

(and also the World's Fastest Poster)March 24, 2017 at 6:23 am #617422I occasionally consider just buying Ikea kitchen cabinets for that purpose. About 40$ per box and 10$ a shelf is cheaper than I can do myself, and it is just shop furniture.
They sell a 40 high, 15 deep, 21 wide that is just about right for an L-boxx

ProYeah you are right, it’s not cheap… but all the possibilities with the accessories are just amazing!
I just bought some more accessories (the rollers to move it around more easily) and I saw they have a deal going on on their shop right now http://www.sortimo-shop.us/dealoftheday.asp
I will definitly post a pic of my setup next week!
