I am just wondering who listens to podcasts? Who do you listen too? When do you listen to podcast?

I have been listening to podcasts for awhile. I listen to podcasts more the radio. I listen too: Wood Talk, Making It, Reclaimed Audio, The Woodworking Podcast, MakerCast, Crafted Podcast, Workshop 101 Podcast. I always listen to podcasts while driving too work and in the shop.

I listen to Making it, Woodtalkshow, The woodworking podcast, Crafted, Makers International, and Reclaimed Audio.

I miss some here and there, but those are the ones on my favourites list.

I think I probably would…but there is almost zero time for such things in my life. It’s enough that I find a few minutes for BTP anymore!

FWIW, I think I’d rather watch a video than listen to a podcast…where does one even find a podcast?

This why listen to while driving. I used podcast app on my phone. Then broadcast via Bluetooth through my truck radio. You listen to computer by SoundCloud & ITunes. I am sure if there is any other way.

You can find them on the iTunes Store. Or you could just google something like “woodworking podcast”

Have listened to one or two in the past, it’s just finding time in life to do it.
I would like to listen in my car but with no BT or an AUX port on my radio, plus I’m not in my car long enough most days.

I listen to quite a few podcast as my interest vary all over the place. I find I listen to it on the car ride or when I’ve got a bit of spare time. I also use podcast to find new music to listen to as some podcasts are radio stations in different parts of the country.

Downloaded some fhb podcast last night and listened to some this morning. The only thing is I am 10 minutes away from work and the podcast is an hour.

I find it hard to separate the wheat from the chaff with podcasts. The barrier to entry for creating one is so low that nearly everyone could do it pretty easily using technology they already have. I would definitely take a listen to some of the ones mentioned on this thread, but many times I find that podcasts are quite poorly done by rank amateurs and they quickly become a waste of my time. I appreciate the suggestions linked above, JDO, and I’m willing to give them a try for sure.

I know the feeling about just finding time in life to do anything really. I drive 40 minutes to work one way so this give me time to listen most of a podcast.

I have bluetooth that plugs in aux.

I guess you listen them if on a computer.

I listen to quite a few podcast as my interest vary all over the place. I find I listen to it on the car ride or when I’ve got a bit of spare time. I also use podcast to find new music to listen to as some podcasts are radio stations in different parts of the country.

I never try any radio stations yet. I really tried of listening stations and news on TV.

I don’t listen to a lot of podcasts, but I do like Makers International. Allen Robinson (the woodworking junkie) lives 40 minutes away and is a heck of a guy. I don’t listen to them for instruction, but I do find them entertaining.

Here is a link to another thread we had about podcasts a couple of years ago. I listen to then when doing skid loader work especially when I am plowing snow.

It breaks up the boredom. The ones i listen to provide a lot of useless knowledge, that is unless you get on “Jeopardy” or “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”

    Stuff you Should know
Stuff you missed in history class
    NPR science Friday
    Wall street journal columns

Well some say it is hard to find time to listen to a podcast that is 40 mintues to 1 hour long.. Try listing to audio book. I tried listening to audio book for first time last fall. I heard alot about Nick Offerman and his new book Good Clean Fun. I also heard about Nick on the podcasts I listen too. So I end searching out his book and got his audio book on free trial from Audible.com. This book is 6 hrs long. I found different but interesting to listen too. I think I will listen to it again soon.
