What to finish cut a 20" x 20" Beam with?

    @smallerstick so if it checked or damaged they would just rip it up and nail another piece down?

    Checking doesn’t matter. If a block (or more) is worn, they are simply pried out and replaced. No nails, just a press fit. Repair of end grain floor is about the easiest “fix” you could imagine.

    that would be very interesting on a shop floor, it’ll be easier on drop tools should there be any.
