So it looks like I’m going to pass on the FL12 as my first big redemption, I have my eyes set on the jacket or the 1617EVS router.

I keep looking to get one or two of them at some point myself. Just have other needs/wants to satisfy first.

That 18V model they make. How old is that? I imagine since it is not LED, it’s old technology.

Charles is right. Get the FL-12 and a starter kit. It is a great little light. I haven’t seen where anyone has said anything bad about it.

I think you’ll be happier with the FL12 and the starter kit. Then you can branch out into the 12V line which is really quite good.

I can second that. I did and no regrets at all.

    Ditto..
I don’t regret spending piggies on the FL12 and starter kit. Eventually the 12V array of tools will grow.

I think that is what most of us ended up doing, I ended up branching towards the 12 volt line as well.

im thinking to get one for those rainy and cold days here.
is the bosch jacket water repellent?

It’s water resistant, not waterproof. I got wet a bit in mine the other nite and the water beads on it like it’s Scotchguarded somewhat.

    that sounds good.

Yeah, I also picked up the 12 volt starter kit, plus a FL12, I already had the 12 volt drill / driver plus impact and the FL10 and charger plus 6 other 1.3 ah batteries.
    Great deal for the piggy.

If youre considering the heated jacket (loving it this week) you are already considering the 12v system – may as well get the FL12 – it is sweet

Beyond that, I dont much care for the 12v system. The PS22 driver is nice and all, but I have 18v stuff that runs circles around it, and Im not using them so long that the extra weight is an issue. Not like the old Nicad 18v stuff…

Happy I have it, for the jacket and light, but the other tools are just baby versions of my “Real” ones

Maybe I would feel differently if I had more of the brushless stuff

It can take him sometimes a week to deduct points and place the order sometimes. You just have to be patient. I take it you are eager?

So it looks like I’m going to pass on the FL12 as my first big redemption, I have my eyes set on the jacket or the 1617EVS router.

With Winter coming up, you would really enjoy the heated jacket! It can really make Winter easier to deal with.
