What do you guys use for a welding workbench? Something like this?

What features are must have for your bench?

A vise or two and a place to ground the machine would top the list for sure.

Old pictures. I’ll get new ones this week. I would like to change the top to this

Grate was a little goofy as I had to pound it in with a sledge hammer (why the bars are bent) but I think it will be nice. The shoot with drawer actually catches stuff.

Excellent bench Brad. I remembered you had a sweet setup for your grinders. Have you done the new cord system for them yet / will you?

With these welding benches do you got a separate shop . So the dust don’t catch fire with grinding , torching and welding .

    Always willing to learn .

I would love that stronghand table.

But at the least I need 1/2″ thick top, bench vice, preferably 4’x6′, plugs either in the table or above, on casters.

That’s a good start at least.

I don’t do enough welding that would require a separate bench

Welcome to the forum. Nice table, I like the adj feet for locking it down. Do you use them often? Also the pullout drawers/chest under it is a great idea. I may have to do something like that. Are you keeping tools or consumables in there? Or both?

Welcome to the new guy John Doe, Very nice welding table. And Thanks for the pic, We really like pics in here

    #295301

Thanks. I keep consumables and tools in the box. As heavy as it is, it really doesn’t need the feet, but I put them on in case I ever need to roll it into the driveway, which has a slight grade. Been wanting to add a hitch receiver for the vise and belt sander, etc. Just haven’t got around to it. Sounds like a good project for one Saturday, next month.

@wannaride Nice welding table! What kind of bike you have sitting there in the back corner of the pic? We like motorcycle pics too!

@wannaride. Very nice welding table. That thing is perfect. I like the drawers on the one end. That really sets it apart.
