here is a nice looking air cleaner, hopefully i can pick up a motor to make one of these. He is a pretty smart fella . That table saw jig is awesome with the wheel to move the material along without unclamping material every time .
Always willing to learn .

here is a nice looking air cleaner, hopefully i can pick up a motor to make one of these.Looks like a huge amount of work compared to some of the furnace fan based models we have seen recently. The shop made filter would be a beast to clean as well.
I think I will take a pass on that project.

He has built some neat things.
I’ll be meeting up with an HVAC buddy in a couple weeks,
I’ve asked him to save me a squirrel cage or two, so I can build an air cleaner.“If you don’t pass on the knowledge you have to others, it Dies with you”

Wow, that guy must have been having a rough day to do that to a couple of cars. The commentary is unnecessary as the video explains itself lol

I’ve asked him to save me a squirrel cage or two, so I can build an air cleaner.I did a passable version with a box fan and a furnace filter – actually two. One cheap coarse filter as a pre-filter, in front of a better more expensive one. Worked really well –
Replaced with an ambient air cleaner that has more features, and hangs out of the way. Overall results are similar enough though

I would hate to have to rent that thing. Or own it once it is obsolete. That is one huge, and very specialized machine!

Well I am hoping that @58chev‘s buddy can get him 2 as I wouldn’t mind getting one to make a air cleaner. Itll be a decent build and I can run it on a timer for a period of time after I leave the shop
