    I did some more work on the rack. I was not pleased with the spruce ply backer, so I scrounged around the shop and found some maple which I milled up into a ship lap backer. Much better! I shaped the crown for the top too. I think it is a bit of work with the cabinet scraper and glue up next.

    Went to the grocery store for a few things and while I was gone UPS delivered my Glide Mitre saw!!! Looks like they used the box for a kick bag. Video will be made!

    Even on my mobile its sweet to see the wood photos. Looks really nice!

    Video? Is it that beat up?

    Thanks for asking @TaraC and @redwood! It feels fine today but the skin is not gonna make it…lol!

    @Warren6810
    pretty cool if you and Ron will get to work with each other.

    I love the look of natural hickory cabinets. Gorgeous @KenW!

    Today my partner and helper went to do some cedar siding repair. I went to the new house and starightened walls and did all the truss layout. Used a Milwaukee Inkzall to make sure it can be seen next week.

    Then we did a quick roof repair after lunch for a previous client and then back to the house. We set the front porch lvl’s and then the trusses showed up. Spent the rest of the day distributing the stack and organizing them. Crane is set for Tuesday.

    here the pictures from our work yesterday.
    today we just welded another 20ft section
    the gate is welded at 2 spots so it stays perfectly plum while we install it.
    we will cut the braces off when the concrete is fully hardened.

    @redwood

    thats how it looks like.
    we used 2x 60# bags of cement for each hole. gets really windy here so we want to have to secure. some holes just got a bit of cement but pictures will tell.
    holes are 16″ deep

    Thanks for that. As long as the hillside stays put, it should last a long time. Sorry to doubt you.

    That looks like one hell of a fence that’s a lot of steel there.

    looking good there. so is it a single storey for that frame up.. are you going to have to hand bomb teh trusses up onto the top plate or do you have a forklift on site

    Today I bolted a few stationary toolboxes to the workbench so they stop growing legs and walking away!
