Got to site this morning and realized someone stole all of my power tools. Needless to say this has ruined my day/week.

Crap! So sorry to hear that @kswiss. Insured I hope. Around our neck of the woods, you don’t leave your tools at the job site. I am curious, how many folks here on BTP leave their tools at the job site?

I used to leave them on sites where people were living there but not on any empty sites .

We try to not leave much on sites. if it is it is all locked in a trailer, I have had the trailer broken into before however.

We are a sickly bunch aren’t we?

    Knee update:
Got rid of the crutches today. To hard to maneuver around the house with them anyway. I have this Quasimodo type limp/walk that gets me around pretty well. Pain seems a little less than yesterday. Got to unwrap it last night and shower. Looks very alien like due to the swelling and the big portion that they shaved.

This past week has been nothing but breakdowns. Wednesday afternoon the belt on one conveyor went out. Getting that back together and a tensioner stripped out. Waiting on parts for that and broke the baler. Just got the baler operational this morning and then the up-feed conveyor crapped out. Luckily, they were already planning on ordering a replacement but were hoping to put it off. The new(used) conveyor will be installed on Monday. We’re supposed to patch it back together to finish out the week. Worked on that half the day and almost everyone got called out for an oil spill cleanup. A truck blew a line and dumped the entire hydraulic tank on the ground. Left one guy to work on the belt, which was a futile effort as it take at least 3 so, being he is the supervisor, he got other stuff done, instead of wasting the time trying to do the impossible.

I’ve been working on trimming out the new windows on the reno the last few days. Here are a couple pics of some of the windows with the trim detail that I’m using. It’s nice to be into the finish work stage of the project finally.

That sucks! Do you have enough left to keep working until the stolen stuff is replaced?

Any chance it may have been that weasel that had your reciprocating saw

It was not that guy because I’m on a different site right now. All of my bosch tools are gone also my dewalt bandsaw got swiped. No insurance unless I go through my house insurance. Probably won’t do that because I’m not really out that much money. None of the tools were marked. The GC said he’s pretty sure it was caught on camera but they have to wait to get the footage back. My boss said that I could just order some new Milwaukee tools through them and pay them back over a couple cheques. I guess I’ll be getting some fuel tools since all the Bosch is gone.

@thedude306 the shop is looking good Brad,

Went to the doctor, have had a cough for almost two months, got fed up, gave me some meds, sending me to see a lung specialist, and a ultrasound for the bump on my knee.

Today we spent some time in shop office in the morning. Then went to the cottage reno. Installed some roof vents for the bath fan and range hood exhaust. Finished up some misc wiring. Installed this toe kick. I did the vent cut out at the shop last night. Thanks @asevereid for the horizontal idea. I like this way much better than vertical.

Then trim and doors showed up and we set 4 doors and 1 pocket door. Freaking drywall hangers used a few long screws and I missed them…scatched the new door slab…ahhhh! Then they also broke the heads of 2 screws…had to dig out drywall to to get vise grips on them.

Also installed these cool boat cleats for cabinet pulls on the back bar of the boat bar. More on that in a new thread.

On the plus side I was able to use our new Stabilas today! Man they are nice.
