Nothing really productive in the shop today other than getting some stuff put up and out of the way. But what I did do was some research on hidden drawer latches, turns out there are a lot more options than was I had figured there were.
So… the current project may take a bit of a mid-stream turn. 🙂

It where you burn wood to a char. This helps preserve the wood. You can leave the char on or you can brush it off.

Never heard of that. How does it work?

Got a second story patio door installed yesterday. Three wide with a transom. Had to have it shipped in three sections and mull it onsite to be able to get it up there.

I am glad to be done with windows on that project for this year. My guess it that there will be more to replace on that site again next year when budgets allow. I have already been contacted by 34 other owners for spring replacements.

Moving into a much bigger place this month and decided to store my tool storage at the shop as well. It was a rough ride accepting my loss of my loved one the past 2 years but I’m ready to move forward and am very positive. Having the tools out of my living space will be a huge mental bonus.

I bet you did a great job and didn’t leave 4-5 inch gaps like the doors I have to caulk, lol. I would have asked you some questions on filling in our gaps in the parking garage doors but almost done now. The spray foam they used was reacting to the sealants and causing it to bubble. Then I tried masonry board and also using fiberglass… The shims were so far out of the jam that I had to OMT them… what a pain… Next time I’ll check you and BTP first

    Stay safe brother!

It’s hard Chris , I can’t even begin to imagine what you are going through , stay strong and safe Bud 👊👍

I hope your tools are safe where you are storing them , hopefully they don’t grow legs and decide to go for a walk 🙏❤️

Did some finishing touches on a deck, laid out an area for a concrete patio that is getting poured next week, called and scheduled a framing inspection for an addition…had a fairly busy day.

I can’t figure out a 4-5 inch gap. Do you have some pictures?
I’ll try to take some pics tomorrow. I have to install the entry door in the same building.

I recall that Chris, and have wondered on occasion how you’ve been doing. Glad to hear you’re finding peace and moving forward Chris.

Tearing out come concrete walks today and cleaning up a yard at a house we are remodeling.

The remodel has been a slow process, the owner is supposed to be doing a lot of work but they are never there doing anything. I am glad it is a T & M job. We end up doing a lot of what they say they are going to do.

Actually came in to the shop /plant today , Steve from CCR coming in from Kanata On to check the system for leaks using our helium , that should be funny 🤭🤫
Should be a real gas lol
Hopefully it won’t take all day ,
