What an idiot , don’t know why people have to vandalize other people’s property
Did you have all the seals with you , or did you have to pick up materials.

Yea I had just enough seals.

I received an emergency call from the local truckstop I maintain. All the toilets in one of the men’s restrooms were stopped up. I was expecting to have to auger out the line once I got there. But find some a@@ had stuffed rolled up news paper’s in five toilets. He had to have really worked to get that much paper rolled and shoved into each toilet. Had to pull all the toilet’s and dig the paper out of each one form the underside of the trap.

Didn’t that happen another time Ron? That guy needs his head stuffed into the toilet. How crude!! Sorry you had to deal with it.

That’s crazy that they pushed rolled newspapers into the toilets. Is it a prank done by kids or someone having an axe to grind?

The only times I have seen stuff like this was the mortgage crisis I n 2010 or so where foreclosed property owners before moving out poured concrete down toilets, took a hammer to anything glass or ceramic around the house and splashed left over paint on cabinets. Hoping to stick it to the banks.

I milled up the last bit of wood to finish the bathroom. Got the first coat of poly on it now. I guess that will teach me to take some left over wood, put it up against the wall, and ask my wife what she thinks of it.

Started an inside Reno job today, big pain in tge butt, however it’s nice to have a little inside work. Going to try to keep this job on the back burner while we finish framing the house we started this week.

Spent time today making more frames with vinyl to enclose the deck. Only spots left are the two doorways that I’m trying to get creative with a way to get them closed in with vinyl. That will wait until tomorrow though.
Less snow on the deck and the new outdoor furniture that is on the deck is a good thing.

After looking at security cam footage. We are almost positive it was a truck driver that had gotten mad after eating the breakfast buffet. Thought he should have been able to take extra food with him for no extra charge. Enough for the entire day. lmao

While it’s aggravating and feel sure we know who did it. Him being a OTR driver he may never step foot in the truck stop again. So he got away with it.

I finally got the vanity doors put on the the wainscott done in the bathroom. It will darken to match in time the same as the drawers did. Man, I’m glad it’s finally done. The little bit of wainscott to the right of the doorway is the little exta I had to do. Happy we (the wife) made the decision to put it in. In ties it together better.

Working away today getting my new to me Unisaw ready for action. Base is painted now; motor is going into the shop tomorrow for a tune up, I think the centrifugal switch is sticking. It should be running by the end of the week.

That is looking good Jim , looks like most of your projects will be finished soon , what will you do to keep busy this winter LoL

@smallerstick hopefully it won’t be too costly for the repairs.
What type of tune up do they do to those electric motors.

@RonW hopefully he stops doing dump @$$ things like that.

Back in the shop today , still having issues with the system ,
Hopefully they will be able to detect the leaks for me , this will be a test to see the leak detection system they are going to use , hopefully my boss has deep pockets and decides to buy a unit like that for us. Will save plenty of headaches and time.

Thanks. Like most people I have more projects lined up than I get taken off the list. Get one done, 2 more get added. I have a potato bin to do and a whole other wall in 2 rooms of wainscott to do where the new windows were put in.
I accedently discovered some good news. The wainscott I bought is in 8′ lengths. Under the windows is about 31 1/2″. So I will get 3 pieces out of every length with no waste. I can come up from the floor a little bit too because of the base board, so I have a bit of wiggle room.

@boschmanbrian I will get them to do a cleanup inside, free up the centrifugal switch, maybe replace brushes and check the bearings. Everything turns freely so I’m not expecting any surprises.

The saw was sitting in a damp basement for several years so no surprise it needs service.

Nice job Jim ! I really like that shower curtain!

@JimDaddyO haha yeah I’m in the same boat Jim , to many projects , not enough time. Glad you are able to get 3 pieces of wainscoting out of the sheet , looking forward to seeing your progress.

@smallerstick yeah humidity in electronics is not a good thing
Hopefully they can get it taken care of
It’s definitely going to last a long time when it’s tuned up properly Peter , your shop is really takin shape.

Waiting for the specialists to get in today , hopefully they can figure out what we need as far as help with the high volume vacuum system.
