Got a Contour gauge the other. Thought would be nice to have.

Nice , I’ve always wondered about these , let me know what you think about it , do you have any immediate projects for this , they look practical

Thanks! I need to open it and check it out. No projects in mine as of yet. There were times I wish I had one. This the reason I bought.

Picked up new safety shoes /boots today , we get a pair every year , or I should say an amount for them , I definitely have to pay extra for the blundstones , but extremely worth it in my opinion
The other pair , health and safety said I need specific boots for using the chemical splash baths ,

Decided this morning to buy a wet/dry sharpener. It was on sale a Canadian Tire. Buy it online and was ready for curbside pick up hours later.

Sorry my bad , I meant what exactly can you sharpen with this , is it strictly for tools like planes and chisels , or can you sharpen kitchen knives and other things

You can sharpen knives too with the appropriate jig.
I was eyeballing an used Tormek but that thing even used it’s expensive. Tool only with no jig.

Yes you can sharpen knifes. I have saw guys sharpen lathe and carving chisels on this sharpener. Tormek makes alot different jigs for holding for sharpening tools.

They are nice tool. They are very pricey. That’s too bad that used tormek was too expensive.
That why was willing take a chance on knock off sharpener.

Ah okay thanks , that’s what I kinda thought , I guess seeing how you guys are using hand plane and other woodworking tools , I would be practical.

As much as I want to learn sharpening by hand. I just feel I don’t have the time right now to spend in the shop to learn sharpening properly. I also felt by getting wet/dry sharpener was better investment for me right now. Then buying a bunch of sharpening stones.

I don’t put the plane blades and the chisels that I use in shop on a belt/stone grinder.
Sharpening by hand. I use some DMT diamond benchstones and ceramic stones.

Okay , so the primary reason for the sharpening machine is 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ if you are not going to be sharpening plane or chisel blades , just kitchen knives ?
