I stopped at Canadian Tire for one thing (a new 2″ trailer ball) and I ended up buying the following:

I like that long reach vise-grip. Was it on sale?

And are those ratchet clamps the style that Cmeyer25 has that have the straps in a coil that keeps them from flopping around?

@doobie All of the additional tools were on sale ~%50 off for each of them … the staples were me remembering that I emptied a box and cascaded up to the larger size 🙂

    Found the long reach vise-grips…

    https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/mastercraft-long-reach-locking-plier-15-in-0584594p.html#srp

Couldn’t find the ratcheting straps though.

Congrats , looks like you have a good haul there
What nailer are you using those MasterCraft brads in
Have you been satisfied with them if you used them before , or first time trying them.

I like the flex straw, nice to pinpoint exactly where your spray is going.
@theamcguy Have you ever used this ? I was taking (trying to take) the racks off of my van. They’ve been on forever and I used fine thread bolts with nylock nuts. Needless to say they were rusted beyond tight…. impact driver wouldn’t budge them. A neighbor gave me a can of Iron Gard penetrant to try. I used just about every brand of rust “buster” over the years but this stuff impressed me. Gave each nut/bolt a shot of this stuff, it foams up and stays put, just before dark… and it rained overnight. The next day I figured I have to spray them again but first gave them a try…. all 8 spun easily apart with just a 3/8″ ratchet.

It’s a Case product. I think it’s only available where Case/NH/IH equipment is sold and parts/service

Should be able to find a distributer here…. scroll down, put in your location…..

I found a place near me that should carry it on their Canadian site. I could have used that a week ago to remove an old lamp post where the screws were all corroded. Ended up grinding them off.

EDIT: Couldn’t pull it up off the website either by Iron Gard or the item # B505501.

Nope, mine are real obvious – they have a big hump on top that is the wound up extra webbing. They’d be hard to miss 🙂

Also the price range is definitely not the same as those ones. 🤫

I’m waiting for the price to come down on that style Charlie has. I really wouldn’t be using them that often and I’m OK with the standard style for now.

This happens to me every store I go into. It can be worst at Canadian Tire when I see sale price stuff I would like to have.

Received some FastenMaster glue sticks today I ordered from Amazon earlier this week. Looking forward to trying them.

A thanks goes out to @skillman who re-booted this old thread on hot melt glue recently.
