ModeratorReceived my 9 inch grinder today and the accessory dust collection shroud. Thank you Brittany and BTP!
Won’t likely use/need this til next year.
It’s no bigger in size or weight over my 7in Bosch grinder despite what others have fear mongered and mocked to me when I mentioned I was maybe requesting it. I have no prob using the 7in grinder, this just gives me more range in grinding uses.
I see it handy maybe for quickie paver cuts and also with a steel frame deck I’m inclined to go with for my deck build next year. The 7in wouldn’t have offered a deep enough cut for some of the steel deck framing components I’m looking at using. (Paverdeck)
Pic of my 7in is last.
October 21, 2019 at 9:06 pm #735961Wow congrats on the big grinder.
Are they used for surface grinding or just deeper stone cutting?

Looks like a beast to me, but I’ve only ever used 4.5” ones before! Regardless, congrats on your new tool!

Very nice. I like mine. The only weakness is the switch so I plan on mounting mine in a table with a remote switch.

She’s a nice unit. I’ve really liked mine. Congratz Charlie! 👍
Don’t you already have a Bosch cordless recip IIRC?

I do, lol. So I may be doing a giveaway or something with this one. There was some confusion when I reported my review of it to the Points email – they thought I was requesting one and by the time they got that I was telling them about the one I already had it was too late and it had already shipped.

I thought so, although I thought it might have been the 83 stroke smaller Bosch recip.
Just sell it. Or put it up for a swap with another member.
Some members have criticized others in the past of selling their rewards, but to me, you own it now, you should be able to do whatever you want with it. There’s no shame in that, nor should there be imo.

A giveaway is a good idea. Or it be a nice gift for a friend.
