Doobie
ModeratorMerry Christmas to me! Thanks Jim
Congrats on the beast!
I can’t wait to see what this baby can do!
It can rip the finish off real fast in its aggressive mode. I don’t have the Bosch, I have its Festool equivalent.
December 21, 2016 at 9:43 am #598680Thanks again everyone, I know it’s been talked about a lot on here, but now I am starting to see why first hand! I’m beginning to think it may just replace my ROS completely (unless it doesn’t fit into a spot, , but otherwise…) I am shocked and impressed by how smooth of a finished surface it leaves especially considering how aggressively it removes material!

Palm Springs, CADecember 21, 2016 at 4:40 pm #598749Thanks guys, first impression, this thing is NICE, feels solid, and I like the grip better than the HDH181 the Earlier 1/2 inch brute hammer drill,
I think this is going to be my new favorite drill,
It’s a BEAST, tried it with the screw mode, it’s stops fast, and sets the screw nicely, then the drill mode with a 1 and 1/4 spade rips threw, and the anti kick back works great. That’s it for now, I will definitely get something up after the holidays on this drill.
And the charger is excellentDecember 21, 2016 at 4:40 pm #598750Doobie

Yeah, it depends on what you need it for, the rotary are nice, I have one on my radar also, might just go out and buy the bulldog corded after Christmas.
@RonW lol yeah, he loves to play in the paper lol
@jkirk he couldn’t wait to get out of the box lol. Thanks again guys.
I actually brought it into the shop today,Sorry for the pictures of the dog
Thought it was funny,
Could have been a Bosch pugdog (bulldog) lol but it just the regular hammer lolDecember 22, 2016 at 11:18 am #598929Sweet can’t wait to hear more about this new brute considering it myself. And congrats on the box @boschmanbrian

December 22, 2016 at 10:41 pm #599056@boschmanbrian congrats on the new drill! I can’t wait to hear how it compares to the 181 – pretty sure that’s what I have, and I love it, it’s a total tank of a drill! Curious too if it’s got more or less torque than the brushes version since Bosch has seemed to have a confusing trend of dropping torque with their brushless drills…hopefully this one steps it up!
Edit:
Just went and looked at the specs and it definitely dropped torque…so I’m really curious now to see your comparison!Charlie
