not much happens here. theres 3 shows.. the fall ideal home show, the spring ideal home show. and the nova scotia home builders association home show.. and occasionally the “the pro show” which is geared directly to the contractor.
there use to be a woodworking show but low attendance 2 years in a row killed any profits by the dealers so most of them backed out leaving the show dead in the water for 6 or 7 years now for the local one.. the moncton show has been cancelled 2 years now
heres a tip, dont fart in a space suit

ProI have been to all these shows, but not to “Coverings” for 10 yrs.
Most of the shows include great education opportunities as well. Hope this helps:SURFACES – this annual flooring, stone and tile show in Las Vegas, while shrinking over the years, is a good resource for many flooring related products. While it seems targeted mostly at dealers and distributors, there’s some great info for contractors too. Link: http://www.tisewest.com/Attendee/ShowInfo
IBS (International Builders Show) is put on by NAHB and is a large show – they even build houses in the parking lot! It’s terrific for builders and remodeling contractors. Many products on display, and is now integrated with The Kitchen and bath Industry show. Design and construction week happen in the same area simultaneously, so there’s much to see. JLC Live! (multiple cities) does a great job with contractor-focused exhibits and some great live training opportunities at several locations around the country. Link: http://ne.jlclive.com/
Coverings – is a Tile and stone focused show, similar to Surfaces, but seems more focused on Retailers & distributors and is typically in the Midwest or Florida. Link: http://www.coverings.com/Content/Conference-Program/4/
Greenbuild is an interesting show focusing on many types of sustainable building products. I found it mostly focused toward architects and those involved with building control systems and energy, for example. Link: http://greenbuildexpo.com/
PCBC is sponsored by the California BIA and is targeted at builders & architects primarily, although there’s plenty for all contractors to see. As a smaller show that alternates between San Francisco & San Diego (2015) there are some cool exhibits. Link: http://www.pcbc.com/about-pcbc

I may look into the show in Columbus…it’s only two and a half hours away. There looks to be a lot of good seminars scheduled.
