🤔 What do you think drove him away
Sometimes I don’t post , but I’ll be lurking in the background reading about topics and picking up info about different tools or products

Apparently me Ron!
Such a loss. All he was here for was to promote a tool belt line he makes which last time I looked was a no-no on this forum.
Seems I’m the only one who sees this as such and now I’m the bad guy for pointing that out.

April 15, 2019 at 10:54 pm #719797Hey guys,
I would love to stick around and add to the conversation regarding tool belts but I am unsure of how to do that without talking about what I do. It seems as thought members of BTP add value by posting according to their experience and what they have found to work in the field. By not being able to do the same, I feel as though I am not very beneficial to the group. That being said, I will still try by asking some questions that might spark some discussions.
So:
What do you look for in a premium tool belt?
Do you use suspenders, and if so, what do you look for in a premium set?
Would you ever consider purchasing them as a bare framework, without bags?
What would you expect to spend on a very high end setup?
Do you utilize a 2” or 3” belt, and would you like a belt that could accommodate either size bags?Feel free to add thoughts that may not be represented by these questions!

April 15, 2019 at 11:00 pm #719799Do you use suspenders,
I have tried the suspenders but the heat here gets me smelling like a wet dog and this nasty funk soaks into the suspender material and just stinks too much for me to work in.

Please stick around
We are not all construction related people
I’m in aircraft , but have worked in construction for years , still do every once in a while
I’ve never used suspenders
But I also never had big tools hanging off my tool beltI think being able to customize to the specific jobs would be great
As you mentioned by being able to choose different sizes of bags.April 16, 2019 at 6:07 am #719803I’ve never used suspenders
Suspenders integrated in a tool belt would take quaite a bit of load from the hips and place it on the shoulders making the tool belt more comfortable.

ModeratorI wear suspenders with my workpants but they are fabric. I just can’t stand my pants slipping down and don’t like a belt too tight to stop that, so it’s suspenders for me.

I agree suspenders would take a lot of weight off your hips. I try and wear a tool belt when working jobs around the house. I find uncomfortable as it keeps sliding down. I end up just not wearing.
I do wear suspenders on my pants when doing things around home.

Do More of What Makes You HappyApril 16, 2019 at 9:44 pm #719868I wear a bow tie when I put on suspenders.

Maybe it needs to be tighter. I make mine very tight so it won’t slip down.
April 16, 2019 at 10:17 pm #719872What do you look for in a premium tool belt?
I don’t use premium bags. I usually just get some CLCs on sale for 60 or 70 bucks. If I were going to get premium bags I get the Diamond Back bags. Everyone that has them loves them!!

I agree it needs to be tighter. But it has plastic snap. It is hard to get fasten. It something cheap I bought years ago.
