That will be a big one. Way too much house for my taste but if you want it and have the money, away you go. Bet it will be a beautiful home based on what you are showing already.

Those are some big trusses. This must be one nice home you are building.

Here’s a couple of pictures. We are still working. Takes a while to get that much timber in the air.

Thanks for the progress pics. Looks like tings are moving along smoothly. Are they mortise and tenon joints.

That is so awesome! I would love to get to make some of those for a project. Nice progress today!

Did you have them engineered for the load they will carry?

Surprisingly a Dewalt 7 1/4 circle saw and Dewalt recipient saw. Very very very skilled operator. W

I can’t take much credIt. I just said where and the crew did the rest. I try to be helpful but sometimes the best thing I can do is stay out of the way and them do their thing. I mainly just make sure what they need is on site.

The trusses were designed by the architect and a consultant with quite a bit of experience with post and beam construction.

Im guessing these trusses will be exposed from the bottom , do you know what is going on the top of them ? T&G or something ?

Adding T&G will make it crazy awesome looking . I would go that route over plywood .

    Always willing to learn .

T&C definitely. There is an open to below cupola that goes on the top. It will be T&g on the top and 4×8 sheets of smart sideing. Also there is a 20 ft ceiling in each wing that will be covered with 4G smart side with 1×2 smart trim every 4 or 6 in apart running vertically..

Some heavy looking trusses. I’d like to see the place when it is finished. In the mean time have fun setting those babies.
