Wow it’s been that long , unfortunately it takes long to see the new tools hit the market , this is definitely one I’ll be buying ,

I’ve also been seeing a new radio , working on bluetooth and even has a USB port for charging phones , and also a bluetooth cordless vacuum , these should be interesting ,
I’ve also heard that they are going to have a few other things like cordless sander and other things.
2020 has been a write off so to apt in more ways than one , I certainly hope 2021 will be better 👍👍

Took me surprise as well. Nice to see Bosch finally rolling out some new tools. Looking forward to reading the reviews on them. The circular saw seems great and nice that is compatible with the track.

Yes definitely looks great , I’m supposed to get a call from the Bosch service center here when they start getting them in stock , hopefully it will be before Christmas 🤷‍♂️

Yeah that’s definitely a lower end drill , also that charger won’t even charge any of the core batteries , definitely not interested in this , but I guess someone starting out owning a house and needs a budget drill ,

also that charger won’t even charge any of the core batteries

Those low BF prices usually bring lower end tools. You have to look at the specs on what you are buying.

Yeah definitely , I guess most home owners and beginners probably won’t know about that charger being there basic one , no fan and not being able to charge the newer core batteries , but then again would they actually be buying core batteries 🤷‍♂️

Now I’m confused , I thought I read somewhere that it was charging simultaneously 🤷‍♂️ but here they say one at a time ,

Now I’m confused , I thought I read somewhere that it was charging simultaneously 🤷‍♂️ but here they say one at a time ,

I recall when Steve (Dadgineer) at Bosch asked us on the forum when they were in the development stage of working on a 6 bay charger some years back whether we would pay more for a multi-simultaneous charger versus a cheaper sequential charger we all chimed in. I guess they went with a sequential charger.

I wonder if one of the issues is the overall amperage demand of a multi just sucked too much juice if it was loaded with six at a time or whether the logic was that you got a faster charge time on each battery and if you needed one you just pulled it from the pack rather than have to wait longer because it was doing more than one battery at a time in the charger.

    #752503

Yeah I thought that they definitely would have went with simultaneously 🤷‍♂️

Oh well , I’ll just either make a multi charger just by adding a couple of them together on a wooden base or something like that

Not that I would need the 6 bay charger , but definitely would be nice to have ,

Does anybody make a 6 port simultaneous charger of the main tool companies?

I’ve never heard of one, but then, it’s not something I would ever NEED as a DIYer, so maybe I missed it if there is one.

I know Milwaukee have one but it’s not simultaneous , also Ryobi have one ,

Makita make a 4 port simultaneous charger we have them here in the shop
    At least I believe it’s simultaneous ,
That’s definitely one thing I miss about my order Bosch nicad battery charger , they had a dual port 1/2 hour charger for my 2.4 amp batteries.
I guess with the newer battery technology , they figured that the difference between runtime and charging with the bigger batteries , should be okay 🤷‍♂️
