Bosch hasn’t had much new tool news lately but yesterday I received an email from them about their new 12V and 18V 5″ random orbit cordless sanders. All I can say is wow. Check them out they are nice

They do look good. Not sure about the 12v, but would like to try the 18v one out.

I was looking at those yesterday , they definitely look good , I wonder why they didn’t go with the typical Bosch plastic dust canister filter that they are using on the corded tools , could be something to do with airflow and runtime , I wonder if the canisters would fit on the cordless model , my Ryobi cordless uses the similar fabric dust bag , definitely not as effective as the Bosch plastic dust canister
Regardless I’m interested in the price of these

I saw the post / email about the cordless sanders. I looked at the Makita previously but never pulled the trigger. When I see the Bosch, I think I will take a hard look at it.

Wish those new orbital sanders were available for points usage, looking forward to getting one when available.

I think an orbital that is cordless would be handy. I saw Makita’s on clearance a few years ago for fifty bucks and wish I would have picked one up. They sold out quick and the new model was a hundred so I passed.

Looks like the new 12 & 18V GEX series of sanders are now available. Lowes and the ToolNut seem to have them in stock. The GEX12V is $99 bare tool and the GEX18V is $129.00 bare tool.

Dang it Bill , those are pretty good price points , unfortunately that’s US dollar , regardless , I’m definitely going to be interested in these , I have been using the Ryobi 18 volt , and it’s pretty impressive , seeing how much I’m invested in the Bosch platform , I’d definitely like to add either one , or maybe both 🤭🤫

I got all excited as the BF sale ads came out, I was looking for a deal on the new 12V and 18V sanders and there is a new jig saw as well with a very comfortable looking handle. Also Bosch was offering their $20 off $100 but only on certain tools and guess which tools were not included in the deal? If you guessed the tools I was looking for you would be right. Oh well maybe they will go on sale later on in December. Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.
