I’m surprised with all the hack jobs out their I had to go back 3 weeks to revive this thread. They installed a new keypad in our apartment building and his is what the latch looks like now…
I bet he got that fit on his first try…

I assume the landlord has his own guy that does work for him or gets the superintendant to do it. Lotta landlords don’t care what it looks like as long as it’s cheap and it works.

That’s just brutal. Some guys have no pride at all.

The massive voids are full of caulk now. Not sure how long that will last since the temp hasn’t been above 35 degrees in a week.

All those scratches in the paint too, how do you even accomplish that. Next thing you know they’ll use steel wool to clean the glass windows.

Found a nice 2x sticking out through a corner n the house we started trimming today. At least it is in a closet!
But the misaligned corner, oh yeah… that’s in the great room by the entrance, ooops

Not the kind of thing you expect to find in a quality build.

You’d be surprised. I have seen several million dollar homes where there are all sorts of various defects. Most of it is due to poor planning, and lack of supervision.

I don’t think you can ever, ever overestimate the stupidity of people.
