Here’s a good one for you all! I’ll call it, “idiot replaces a window”

I’m sorry, I just can’t stop laughing at this. I mean, that’s so hacked. It would make the top 10 hacks I’ve seen here for sure.

That’s pretty bad. Even for a beginner. You there to fix it Jon?

Nope, my wife works there. I’m just enjoying the hackery.

Wow that is just incredible. Looks like no attempt to cut anything anywhere near to the correct size. That is bad.

Its a daycare..the teachers put those up to run a string from one side to the other to hang things from. IMHO, its the prettiest part of the whole dump.

Okay, now that you’ve all chimed in, time for full disclosure. This job was done by my former business partner. He was supposed to be the “business guy”, but claimed to have construction skills….you can now proceed to call me an idiot for ever agreeing to this partnership.

Nope, definitely not an idiot, we all make mistakes, my two previous partners, the first one, I had to hold by the hand and teach him most everything, then he and his father in law, stabbed me in the back on a high story apartment building downtown,
Went behind my back and starting to do work directly for the owner.
Lesson learned their for me, that’s why he was my previous partner

Second one, we actually worked good together, he was more the P R guy, but we took a break in the business, starting families and aging parents.

    @jponto07,
At least he is a “Former Partner” and not your current partner.

Hey, hindsight is always 20/20. We all make mistakes.

Oh man, that is some fine craftsmanship there. I see why you had to part ways now, looks like more of a babysitting gig than a business partnership. I can’t imagine leaving him to do anything on his own after seeing that…. good move, much better off on your own with quality control in your hands

Wow big difference in the work you do Jon, and what he does. I think you’ll be much better off without him slowing you down.

I’m still scratching my head trying to understand what’s the purpose of that 2×4 around the window. Over the drywall.
    Hmm, maybe a window stool?

    No, just regular stool.

    No, just regular stool.

Its clearly a structural window…. Maybe a window bench.

Wow – You are clearly better off without your former partner
