Here is a hacked up handrail that I replaced today…why get the pieces tight when you can just smear caulk all over it….

Yep, such a good job that you can’t even see it on the railing to the right!

I though, I was terrible at smoothing caulk, Maybe they just wanted to use up what was left in the tube.

Must have used all the caulk on one rail and had none left for the big gap on the other one.

The rail on the right must have been the last one – all the other ones were caulked up..

I think I had posted this somewhere else before but it is definitely worthy of this topic. If you’ve ever worked with uponor then you know this is a big time fail.

Well, there is a big gap under the siding to the right of the door…and what is going on with the white piece nailed to the edge of the OSB?

Oh, and there’s pant on the door threshold..

And why is the flooring OSB? What is the finish material supposed to be if the subfloor is OSB?

That is creative. Taking the whole repurpose/reuse thing a little too far.

Man the gap under that door could double as a mail slot. The mail man could just slide the mail in and the HO could forget having a mail box.
