I think another midi is in your future. All the other options are pretty big.

@ weeks ago my 20+ year old Craftsman died. Living with minimal retail options, I picked up a ShopVac brand. The SS model on sale.

What a POS !. The seal on the top is, well, not a seal.

I can fix it and keep it for rough crap.

Gonna look at a better one soon.

I’m pretty sure that Dirty has a Festool already, I guess he’s not happy.

I really need more that one when doing a good size job. I need one just hooked to the miter saw. It’s hard to have 2 guys working and only one vac.

Makes sense. Make sure you get the larger hose (36mm) as everyone says that works a ton better than the narrower one. It does seem like getting another midi makes sense, but it is still not exactly easy on the checkbook.

I just switched my long 25mm hose to my makita for a 2″ hose with an adapter on the end. Works sooooo much better.

Gotcha. Yeah two vacs is nicer for sure especially with one on a miter saw. I would do the Festool just because then you have bags for both. You have a midi right?

Yes, But that thing works good but is over 12 years old and the top that holds the hose and where the boxxes clip on is all trashed.

Yeah it looked a little beat up. You can order a new top for about $60 that makes it compatible with the newer tloc systainer.

Sometimes that is definitely the smartest way. There was a CT26 on craigslist in Oahu a month or two ago…maybe keep checking there.

More cross section area makes a big difference in flow.

Wow – your midi has held up for 12 years of on-site use? That is really crazy! What is the debate about then in your mind? haha. I am sure I won’t convince you to go bosch since it isn’t small enough for you…

Many find it’s good to stick with a dust extractor that the boxxes you ave clip to the top of it. Do you have any boxxes yet?? We have the Bosch units on the list.

I have the midi vacuum . It works great for its size . Best for job site use cause the small storage . Had it for 3 years now with no issues . Plus I can stack my festool Box’s on top . Really love that I can store the hose and cord in top base .

    Always willing to learn .

Don’t the Bosch vacs have the capability to stack an L-boxx on top?
