Fayetteville, NCMarch 7, 2015 at 6:43 am #289898Thanks guys!
Anyone have any tips on hooking up with builders so I can do more of this?
March 7, 2015 at 7:06 am #289914@Skillman asked me to do a thread with some photos of my stair and railing work, so I figured hey why not.
Heres some photos of the first big one I did.At this point I’ll just tuck my tail between my legs, lower my head, and crawl away…
Beautiful work and pictures. Thank you.
March 7, 2015 at 12:55 pm #290108The house we are currently framing has a “U” shaped staircase where the landings only connect to one wall each. The architect called out “structural stringers and landings” but gave no details. We are gonna have some steel fabbed up to attach to the stringers/landings to carry this thing. Probably do it in the next few weeks. I will post some pics.

Sounds typical…if they can draw it it’s easy to build right? 😉
Still sounds like a fun one Warren.

March 7, 2015 at 1:36 pm #290135I think structural stringers are in the new simpson catalog.
It does sound like a cool build. Curious to see what you come up with.

March 18, 2015 at 6:39 pm #298036Just got an email from Lj smith this morning. They made the components I used for the first project in this thread. They want to use photos of that project for their promotional materials.

Ha that would be nice. Earn royalties on a job! Is it common to get paid for something like that?
I just gotta get it cleared and track down a good photographer.

It would be nice to get paid when we create something that others want to see. It is art after all, right?March 18, 2015 at 7:27 pm #298063I wish i was better with stairs, Nice work
