Well once again I’ve scored a wonderful opportunity to review the new and improved Skilsaw Wormdrive Table saw.
More power, larger capacity, rack and pinion fence and a rolling stand.congrats – looking forward to your thoughts on that TS

Looks like they did a great job with itNovember 1, 2017 at 8:08 am #651924I am really interested in this saw. I love my 4100 and this looks to be a strictly improved update on it. Bigger wheels on the stand, better fence (rack and pinion), deeper depth of cut, more grunt (worm drive) and wider rip capacity. Plus they added in a canvas sheath near the blade to improve dust capture below the blade. ( I really want to see if that part can be added to the 4100)

More power, larger capacity, rack and pinion fence and a rolling stand.Do you plan of testing it with different hardwoods Mark? That’s where most portables come up short.

I’ll test it with whatever I have on hand. The previous model that I reviewed here, had plenty of power and I’m told that there is a increase in this model, so I don’t see a issue.

Two inch Maple would be of interest, but even better would be some Ipe 5/4 deck board rips.

I would say that it’s a Chervon saw. They have owned long enough to have made there own updates good or bad.

ProHey Mark! Looking forward to your review. We have an older craftsman table saw we use for framing. I think this would be a nice upgrade when ours dies.
