It would have been so much easier if I had just stuck to one trade, but no, I had to go and try to do them all….

I know what you mean…I have a tool box/bag for electrical tools, 2 for plumbing tools, drywall, painting, masonry, hvac, roofing, several for carpentry tools….

For you guys with multiple trades it makes sense to keep your tools separated by trade. This way you only need to carry the tools you’ll need. With me most of mine just contain mechanics tools so depending on what I need the only thing that varies is the size of the box.

Same here, I posted up my plumbing box and I have an L-BOXX-4 with my Drywall / flooring and cement tools and an L-BOXX-3D with most of my electrical tools.

    Honolulu,, Hi.

I’ve been doing my trim work out of a CLC bag lately

Is that the bag with the removable tray?

Yes the middle bag comes out to get full access.

I had thought of making something at one point and then decided against it. Just don’t need that many tools to be mobile all at once. You fill those up and it gets pretty heavy to lug around everywhere.

That is what I found as well Doobie. The big box or bag will hold lots but then I can’t pick them up. I am almost sold on the L-boxes .
Usually I end up dumping my tools all out of the box so I can find what I need.

i’ve been thinking of it, but i need to figure out a few projects before i pick this one up. It would be a good exercise but as @doobie says, it would get quite heavy.

It would be heavy if your using anything other than Balsam.

I’d like to try my hand at something like that but would only use Balsam.

I’m kind of wondering about the tradesman who has that.

Why would someone carry timber-framing and carving chisels, and 600 volt insulated pliers, at the same time and in the same case?

I can’t imagine what he would be doing.

I like those Veto pacs as well and would like to get one or more at some point, but they are not cheap.

There’s another company that would be nice having as a sponsor to the forum.
