Nice trim work on the windows! Have you stained them yet?

How’s that Minwax stuff these days? I stopped using it a couple of years back.

Stained out picture and I really don’t have any problem with minwax .

Looks good! I switched to Old Masters products because of color consistency issues with Minwax. I also didn’t care for their poly, but I don’t recall why at this point. If possible, I use lacquer now anyway.

If we install one or two windows that get stained we do it . Any more we have our painters come in and take care of staining .

    Always willing to learn .

Only 40 more to go. Well with that many you can develop a system to make it go faster.

dirty, i do base blocks quite often, it just makes for a cleaner transition from thick baseboard to the casing. as for corner blocks at the tops of windows and doors.. not too often no.. the photo with the detailed corner blocks were done that way to try and match the existing portion of the house which was built in the late 1800`s

heres a tip, dont fart in a space suit

Well not really, just a real expensive door. I didn’t make them, of course, just installed them. Here is one of 4 sets of french doors we installed at the same house.
