I get a call or two a day about it. I do not use it and stay fairly close to the top of search results in our area. for what they want to do it we would have to double our marketing budget and probably would not get much of a payback. we stay pretty busy already.

If you want to be found on the internet, SEO is a must. Many potential customers start their purchase/order process by searching for the internet. Our business uses it and asks (almost always) what brought a customer to us. It is probably 50% knew of us already or were personally referred to 50% found us on the internet. It takes some effort but it has paid off for us.

Whitehat SEO is the most effective long term, and is an ongoing practice, not a one-time fix. Its like saying safety.

Blackhat SEO tends to give an immediate boost, but risks negative impacts, such as google penalizing you if they feel you are using sketchy methods. Often the smaller paid SEO companies push blackhat methods because they are easy and show immediate results. Those guys are gone before the repercussions hit.

SEO can benefit anyone who is looking to increase traffic or improve the sales revenue of a product. Its just a way to make your brand be one of the former things to pop up on a search engine so that people can be more aware of your company. It will definitely bring out a positive effect.

We had a few guys that were SEO specialist that got BTP to show up at the top. They have all left kinda when Jim did. Writings on the wall!
