Glad you got the ditch dug Ron. I was figuring the move would tie up all your time.

Well I have finely got power in the shop…
Took a little longer to get to this point than I thought it would. But Boy it feels good to have it out there.

Glad to see you finally got electricity to it. Now let’s see the inside of that box and see if it looks as good as the rest of it. 😉

Really not much in there yet. It looks kinda bare right now. Just lights and power to two receptacles. But will see what I can do tomorrow as it’s starting to rain here and I’m not going out there. lol

Great going Ron. I’m sure you will now get some lines run to where you need power.

Three 6’s and one 8. So I guess it could be called 6/3.
10/2 would never have carried the load at a 100 ft. I wanted to run close to 60 amps to the shop.

Benches and or storage will be next.

Another little bit off the punch list. Great news to hear you have the panel in and functioning electrical. Congrats!

We have power! Put lots of outlets in Ron. In my old shop I came 4′ off the floor and put one every 4 ft. I also had a 4 gang dropped down over the center of the workbench. It sure is nice having a outlet close by.

When I built my old shop It was in the middle of 7.5 acres and nothing on the property. Shop was 500 ft from the road. It cost 5 k to get the power there and I had to provide the ditch. I ran 200 amp service to the shop and then ran 100 amps to power the house at a later point.
I sure do miss having my big shop.

Nice job on the power. That’s always a goo feeling. Benches and organization kept me up at night for my shop. A bare shop is such a nice thing to fill, the possibilities are endless!
