That one has been around for a while.<figure class=”oe-video-container”><iframe width=”770″ height=”578″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/5aVWkk4K_HQ?feature=oembed&wmode=opaque” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=””></iframe></figure>
didn’t know about that, it was the first i’ve seen it. I was cringing as soon as I saw him try to use his body weight to try and stop the lathe chuck. I don’t know what he was thinking or maybe he thought he could stop it because he went to the gym alot or something. What I wanted to know was where the teacher was, you can’t leave a room full of teenagers and not expect something like that to happen.

Yea, that one with the student trying to loosen the chuck has been on automotive forums for a few years now.
This is why you should never wear loose clothing while working on machines.

Too Funny, I’ve many a sledge and always make sure the head is wedged on tight. Especially my long sledges.

Or hold whatever the guy is hammering with your hands. A friend did that and got nailed on his thumb.

HOLY crap, that is nuts. Good thing they had that ply there blocking the patch, imagine if they had to explain to the homeowner why there is a hole in their rear door. Or a broken leg.
November 4, 2015 at 7:27 am #419135Looks to me like the sledge hammer handle just broke on the edge of the concrete.

I took long enough (and enough people too) for someone to think of loosening the chuck.
