I miss this kind of work but the money sucked back then for the amount of work we had to do for it .

I had a towing business but closed it to do consulting. I did towing in the mid-70s fast forward to the mid to late 90s and I was getting $5 more a tow than we did in the 70s. Incredible. I like towing, still have my truck but no way can you make real money. Too many costs involved.

Nah, you guys saw the finished deck, we just had to repair trim and drywall on windows that were changed.

We’ll be back next year to do the siding and interior

because the square foot numbers haven’t either. around here we’re still getting lower square foot numbers than we were before the recession. except now everything costs more.

You gotta pay for good carpenters or they will find better place to work.

    Sorry for no updates.

Been pretty busy, and super tired lately. Taking tomorow off so I can sleep alll day.

Ready for sub-trades at the roof house and we’re ready to start siding.

We are also starting a full gut/reno with a 16×30 addition. That’s gonna be a long one.

depends on what’s considered “well”. lead guy is $30-35 and a truck. crew guys are like $15-25 and helpers $12-15…….which has been the rates for the last 15 years. but again, cost of living has increased exponentially since

Well enough to support their families with only them working and the guys are always happy. I never asked for exacts.

Where are lead framers getting 30-35 and a truck?

It’s 10-15 less here and no vehicle.
