    okay, still in ER. Slipped off ladder two or three steps up onto the uneven ground. Broke ankle above both malleolus in right leg =that’s the bump on each side of your ankle.
    Am waiting for transfer to a hospital in the big city. Sometimes they’re smart enough to know when they can’t do something here. Looks like external fixation but I’ll have to wait and see what’s going on.
    Wife says it doesn’t look like I will not be in the shop for a while. So much for mowing today, too.
    As always, my best helper was out there with me at the time. She went and got the lawn mower and garden cart, hauled me up the hill to the car, and drove me to the ER. Couldn’t have done it without her.
    So far, multiple applications of modern chemistry are helping, but I am doing a lot of typo correction.

    Oh man, I can imagine how much that would suck. I broke my wrist once and that was a serious pain in the butt, ankle must be several times worse.
