I can’t believe that it curves in an apple.
March 30, 2014 at 12:05 am #109072Roofing nailer to the upper thigh. Very minor.
Man that doesn’t sound good? Did you pull it your self? I guess the head didn’t go under the skin?
March 30, 2014 at 1:34 am #109134I think if I had a choice of where I was going to shoot myself and with what nail I would have to pick a roofing nail in the thigh.

ProI want to see real life nail gun to hand lol. That is all at a distance. Most nail gun accidents are point blank or close.
March 30, 2014 at 11:31 am #109348Luckily for me I’ve only shot my hose or the material I wanted n
March 30, 2014 at 2:21 pm #109405They say to not pull it out because the dam thing could be in a major artery and then the blood could spurt out like a water hose. That is messy!
Only until the blood stops, and it will hurt until the pain goes away. Cool video though. I like how it went strait though the chicken. Would have liked to see it with bones.

ProWow how did he manage to do that?
March 30, 2014 at 4:38 pm #109424I’ve successfully modified a few of my guns (driver pin mostly) but never a framer. I’ve had a few 3 1/2″ framing nails blow through the work piece when toenailing and hit me but never a direct shot. That alone is more than enough to make me respect the power of the tool.

I have always quickly pulled out the nail and tape it up to stop the blood.

InstagramNovember 19, 2014 at 6:59 pm #219242I’ve heard horror stories on job sites but never saw anything first hand. I guess all trades of something that is dangerous if mishandled.
November 19, 2014 at 7:13 pm #219243I had missed this thread before. Fascinating to watch. Not too fun contemplating one of those nails going in your foot though. Thanks for the post.
November 19, 2014 at 7:19 pm #219253Does everyone here use steel or composite toe boots? I have, but find them a bit cumbersome.

November 19, 2014 at 7:19 pm #219255I’ll bet most of us have been shot with a nail before and Not had the luxury of a leather boot in the way! I’ve shot myself a couple of times with finish guns, but thankfully never with a framing gun. Ouch, damn…I don’t even want to the about it!
