January 20, 2018 at 9:43 pm #663758So I wrecked my van a while ago and had to pick up a new to me van.
Well they won’t loan me money and I don’t have any so I look for the best I can find for not much money.
Thin time I ended with Chevy Express 2500. I only hope it serves me as well as the last one. My last van I had 10½year and put just over 170,000 miles on it.
I will have a nice project of building out the inside for all my tools I carry.Well that one lasted 3½ years but is hurting now and will be put down soon.
Today I did pick up a new to me GMC Savanna 2500 and it is very clean!!January 20, 2018 at 9:47 pm #663762Anonymous

Nice to live in a rust-free place. Takes me at least a week to drive down South, find one and bring it back.

I’ll say it’s clean. For a work truck that is very nice. Are you going to fix it up for storage of tools?

InactiveI know, as I grew up right on the ocean, but you’re from NYC, right? I’ll take atmospheric salt over road salt any day. Anyway, nice ride.

I hear that… road salt and that brine they put down will eat up any vehicle.

That salt air in HI can be just as corrosive. I remember seeing some rusty vehicles in HI.

HA, that’s exactly what I was thinking when I read his comment. Sure you don’t spread salt on the roads like we do here, but you get more than your fair share directly from the ocean!

ProVery nice van dirty, but as to salt, try living next to the Atlantic ocean in the northern climes … road salt and salt air/spray 🙂

ProIts a nice looking van. What year is it? and how many miles? I see it has 8 bolts on the tires so it has 1 ton brakes and some other things beefed up too.
