We mentioned this one a while back: http://toolguyd.com/this-is-the-mother-of-all-tool-stores/

    But it was in Japan…

How is this for east coast? http://www.festoolubershop.com

The only downside is that they only have that green stuff :\ BUT take a look at the gallery – pretty slick looking shop.

I still love Acme Tools in terms of a local place for me. Very, very well laid out.

    That’s pretty nice tool store.

This is the place in my area for tools – http://www.hartvilletool.com

I don’t mind that they have the green stuff. I just don’t like it that they want all my green stuff. 😉

Well it would be nice to actually see a pic of the tool stores so we could guage how extensive they are.

I would like to see a nice tool store here. Big box stores are ok, but I would like to see a store that carries all the blue stuff I like.

Awww c’mon… Having to copy images from their site is about as hard as it is to get there 😛 haha 🙂

Sorry – not finding many good pics from Acme Tools – but here are a few… Though the one with all the Dewalt may be a different store haha…

I have yet to be to either the Acme Tool or Hartville tool stores but I have ordered over the internet from them. It would be nice to be able to browse their store. I envy you guys who are close. Highland Woodworking is another nice tool store that would be great to visit.

I will say that is a pretty impressive tool store but Neu’s Hardware by me has them beat by a long shot. The next time I go there I will have to try and get some pics of the vast whole product lines they have floor to 20ft. ceiling.

Here is why that Festool shop is impressive (pics from http://www.festoolubershop.com/pages/the-shop-in-shop)

And I’d love to see pics of Neu’s Hardware…

Neu’s is truly a hardware store versus a tool only store. Nice place as Jason says. The local Rockler and Woodcraft stores are not too bad either.

Amazon is my go to source right now. Any other place on line I should look into?

It does pay to compare Acme Tool, Tool-Up, and the CPO Outlets against Amazon. Amazon does not always have the best deal.

This reminds me: I bet a Bosch Pro Center would be pretty much an incredible tool store as well – never been to one, though…

What is and where is a Bosch Pro Center?

That Festool store is truly incredible! They are genius in their marketing. They make you think clean whenever you look at their bright white boxes and tools.

Also, I have considered taking the drive to Madison to hit up the Bosch Center there.

Ok, those pics were pretty good. I’m impressed. I’ve never seen a Festool store like that.

I’ve bought stuff from Acme, but I didn’t even know they had a brick and mortar store.

I really do not know a ton about these Bosch centers, but I think I was thinking of “Bosch System Specialists” – the HD all have Bosch PROcenters…

The Bosch System Specialist is your destination to a complete line of the latest products and services all in one place. In addition to getting access to the latest tools and accessories first, experts will get what you need to improve productivity and get back to the job

There isn’t one in Colorado that I found. There was some kind of rental place that came up, but that is in Breckenridge. Too far to go on a guess. I wish they at least had one in Denver. I don’t think that one per state is too much to ask. I wonder if I can open a Bosch super store in Colorado Springs. Hmmm.
