Imagine driving around the city with that pig :-)

    Balls to the wall.

It can be hard to find good help.

    Honolulu,, Hi.

On a side note I like the idea of the second set of supports you have on the DeWalt stand.

    That’s @jjp s saw and stand.

    I think I want a pig now !

Are there collar ties on the rafters? What’s stopping the spread? Just the gable wall, or structural ridge?

    Looking good DWB!

there is basically nothing stopping the spread. but the house has been standing for about 70 years. we plan on adding a number of different structural goodies to make the house more safe and modern. the first thing we did is add 1/2″ ply floor to ceiling to the inside walls that run perpendictular to the outside side walls.

Gonna have to dock her wages. Can’t have her showing the rest of the crew her bad habits. lol

the extra set of supports is a nice feature for support, but the design of those supports is bad and they don’t work well as stops.

    Honolulu,, Hi.

So on Saturday we built the lid on the bath rooms and hall way with 2x8s and sheathed it with ½” plywood for storage up there. we also sheered up 2 walls on the inside for lateral strengh. We had Piggggy, peacock and chicken on the site!
I see jjp has moved up to posting pics…. I wonder if he’ll post up and get any tools??/

Looks good Dirty (but I am no framer). Seems like you get a lot accomplished and make great use of your time on these projects!

Pigs have to eat too. You always take corn on the cob in your lunch?

Looking good DWB! I like the idea of the shear wall, and I noticed the full bearing of the storage loft floor joist… Nice work
