Wow! Bookmarked for further reading for sure. There are tons of them. I just looked at the first few and found one I can use in the adjustable arch drawing jig.

Nice find Peter! Thanks for sharing.

Reading his bio/about me, it seems he’s doing his schtik on the internet as his sole source of income now.

At my level and what he does, not for me. But he could do it even though a lot of his stuff is basic or crudish. It’s not always about being great at what you do on the net, but how presentable you are. Power to him. Wish him luck.

that is pretty nice, I might have to change the orientation of my disc grinder so I can sharpen chisels and planes on it. perhaps put a hinge on it so I can flip it around.

I’ve been signed up for several months now and have seen no evidence of anything funny going on. It’s my understanding he earns quite a bit of his income from his work online so I’m sure he doesn’t want to jeopardize that.

No real concern these days. Mailing lists are essentially worthless these days unless they come with some real data attached, like age/gender/location, and even then most people give so much info away on social media that scraper software can assemble the info you give out on your own in public settings

A lot of email providers (gmail being one) allow +X to be added to your email, and it still goes to you. So if your email was doobie@gmail.com, you could fill out the form as doobie+jigmailinglist@gmail.com or something and you would still get it. If you ever get spam sent to that email address, you know who sent/shared it.

Also works for free samples and trials where the email address is checked to see if its your first time.
